STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Liberator

"If I tell you, the Senator will be angry with me," Emso says. You sense great turmoil in him.

"If you don't want the Senator to know you have told me anything I will respect that and mention nothing to him," Wentar states. "But I still want you to tell me what is wrong, I still want to help you."

Emso grabs himself and looks away from you.

"Farl is lying in there," Farl says. "He has had his informants spread rumors that attacks by the Tyr-sen pirates were actually perpetrated by the Kylugo Srum."

"But why? What is driving Senator Farl to focus on the Kylugo Srum?" Wentar asks, a little unnerved by this development.

"They are a distraction," Emso says. He starts to go on, but instead pulls his pistol on you. "What are you doing to me? Is this some sort of Jedi trickery?"

Wentar instinctively goes for his lightsaber but stops mid movement, knowing it'd just aggravate the situation more.

"Emso... Put the gun away," Wentar slowly says, raising his hands away from his weapon. "Your being paranoid, I haven't done anything to you."

"I can't talk to you about any of this," Emso says. "You can't tell him what I said! Promise me!"

"I promised, Emso. I told you I would say nothing if you didn't want me to," Wentar points out, before putting a more aggressive tone in his voice. "Now put the gun away."

Emso doesn't budge for a moment, but you feel his mind is not up to the task and he puts the gun away.

"I'm sorry," Emso apologizes. "It's all just a mess..."

You have a feeling that he will tell you nothing more; his loyalty to Senator Farl is very strong. However... he did give you something.

Indeed, something that Wentar may have to talk to Altar about, when the time is right.

Wentar stares at Emso for a moment, a hard and piercing stare. "Let's return to Senator Farl," he finally says. "And neither of us will tell him what just happened."

Wentar will return to the meeting.

"I'd like to just wait out here, if you don't mind," Emso says, holding himself again.

"As you wish." Is all Wentar has to say.

Time to see what Farl has been up to.

Farl has finished his presentation on the Kylugo Srum and moved on to other business.

Alrighty. Wentar will remain with Senator Farl for now and see what happens next.

The other topics are far less debate-inspiring than Srum vs. Tyr-sen, mostly concerning smaller operations against slavery rings that are already underway. Farl returns to the topic of the Kylugo Srum chase very briefly, only to answer remaining questions about his plan to find and subdue them. Shortly after, a Senator moves to close and Farl grants it.

"That wasn't so bad," Farl says, smiling. "What was wrong with Emso?"

"I wouldn't have a clue," Wentar lies. "It was an interesting meeting. It must be hard having people like Darcil and Bremack breathing down your neck every meeting."

Lying is not something Wentar is particularly good at; Farl eyes you suspiciously but apparently decides not to pursue the matter.

"It is," Farl says. "Now is your chance to interrogate them, of course."

"Interrogate isn't the word I would use, but you have a point," Wentar says. Where are Darcil and Bremack? Are they alone or does Wentar have to push through a crowd?

The Senators are all gathering up their aides and assistants outside the lecture hall. Farl can point them out to you pretty easily.

Who do you want to interview first, Senator Darcil of Kent V or Senator Bremack of Agamar?

Senator Darcil. I think he'll be easier to approach then Bremack.
