It would.
Before the sniper can line up further shots on the Senator, while the Senator tries to break out of the room and the Senatorial Guards try to break in, Wentar moves out of his defensive position and charges toward the great window of the dining room. Weakened by the blasterholes, it gives easily as Wentar hurls himself through and across the distance between buildings. Calling on the Force for assistance, the Jedi seems almost to float across the great expanse... before tumbling safely over the railings of the open walkway a floor below the Assassin.
This is enough to distract him, and you sense him turn his blaster rifle on the floor...
Your Blade schticks, please!
Initiative goes in favor of the Assassin, who starts shooting through the floor with his high-powered rifle. He scores four successes, hitting Wentar for seven damage as the bolts rain down.
Wentar then leaps up after the Assassin... but the Assassin has moved, running and gunning to get away from the Jedi.

No cigar... the Assassin gets initiative once more, making for an open door where the walkway ends and leads into the apartment complex. You get a better glimpse of him, now that you are on level with him- he is dressed all in black leather with a featureless wide-visored black helmet- like a motorcycle courier.
You tap Reflection against the burst of shots he puts back at you, but he is much too talented a shooter for it to have much effect and you take another seven damage as a bolt slips past your guard.
With your action, you race after him.

A draw in the dice means that initiative goes to Wentar this time. Keeping after the Assassin brings you into a stairwell, where the stairs are designed so that they go up, turn about, then continue going up. It takes two turns to ascend a flight by walking; you judge that you could leap it in one. This is another Senatorial apartment complex and so is very decorative, with red carpeting.
Before the Assassin can start up the stairs, Wentar rushes up behind the Asssassin and leaves a thin burn across his back as he scores five successes, translating to 10 damage!
The Assassin treads up the stairs some distance and puts down a layer of fire, trying to push you back. He taps Eagle Eye to double his success, resulting in 9 damage to Wentar.
