Thor sacrifing Mjolnir because Hulk is scared, isn't a sign of being stupid or anything along those lines, but a sign of him being a hero, and putting innocents over himself. Everytime a hero sacrifices himself or lays down his arms, because an innocent isn't a sign of less intelligence or the sort.

No, not really. Warrior's Pride, would mean, he would fight character's on equal terms.
Him holding back against characters and putting innocents in front of himself, is the way all top tiers are written. Superman, Silver Surfer, and the likes all do it.

Yes, because clearly, heroes like the Silver Surfer, Superman and the Flash, have used their powers to their fullest and maximum efficiency when it was the most logical choice, yet the plot asked for differently right? You want me to list all the times these heroes, had the ability to do something that would get them out of a jam, yet did not for any other reason than the plot demanded it?
So whenever someone is bound by plot they are a scrub? Gotcha....
