STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Broken

"In my experience, evil will gladly share their plans if you simply ask," Rianna says, remembering Beseedra.

"What do we do?" she asks Vera-Kin quietly.

"Have you fought Dark Jedi before?" the man asks.

"We let him make the first move," Vera-Kin says to Rianna. "If he wants to erroneously attack two powerful Jedi, let him. Otherwise, let him scamper back to his Master, I say."

Vera-Kin will use Sense to see if there is anyone else hiding about the docking bay or if there is any danger here.

Rianna will also use Sense, nodding at Vera-Kin's response.

"I haven't."

"Then you may find that you are facing an entirely different brand of evil," the student says. He turns to leave. "I'll be seeing you around. You'll probably go to that loony General and report that we're here. Just don't forget the Box."

On his way out, the man steps around a hairy behemoth that has darkened the doorway out of the dock. The Wookiee growls angrily at the man as he passes, but the man maintains his sneer. The Wookiee watches him go before walking into the docking bay, slinging his flechette shotgun over his back.

He barks a friendly greeting to Vera-Kin. It is Barker, your ally.

"Perfect timing, my friend," Vera-Kin says, putting away her lightsaber as the Dark Jedi leaves their docking bay. "I am glad you found us. I trust your journey here was well?"

Rex, does Vera-Kin know about the Box? Or has Rianna not mentioned that to anyone?

Rianna mentioned that Rand was after an item on Ord Coridari, but I don't remember if she specified that it was a box.

"I do not like that he knew what landing bay we were in," Rianna comments as the student leaves and the Wookiee greets them.

The Wookiee says that his flight was tolerable but he is glad to see you. He asks who the man was and if he should have torn him in half instead of let him leave.

"No, it is alright," Vera-Kin says. "He is one of the people we are after. Be wary of men in dark robes, Barker."

Vera-Kin turns to Rianna.

"Is this Box what you believe Rand is after?" she asks.

"Yes. Either the box itself or something it contains is what he is after. But all I know about it is what Rand told me, which is that it's in a mansion and that the Jedi wouldn't want him to have it," she replies.

"Troubling that this student of his is taunting us with it," Vera-Kin says. "It is almost as if they want us to find it first, if they have not gotten it already."

"It makes me wonder if they have already found it, and have set a trap where it's located."

"Only one way to find out," Vera-Kin says, prefering a straightforward effort to cautiously dancing around Rand's trap. Wherever the trap is, her apprentice will be. "But first, we must go to General Hirget and alert him of the danger."

Vera-Kin is going to make her way out of the docking bay.

And Rianna shall follow.

Stepping out of the docking bay, you are met with a bustling street of activity. Speeders make their way through the streets, navigating the crowds of people that are walking about.

One person comes out of the crowd as soon as you emerge, however. A young man in a flashy red uniform approaches you, snapping to attention upon reaching you.

"Leiutenant Colonel Nehmen, at your service," he says, your third visitor inside ten minutes. "I am here to escort you to the military base for a conversation with General Lan Hirget. You are the Jedi, yes?"

Rianna, already unnerved, will use Sense.

"Yes, that would be us," she simply replies.

The Lieutenant Colonel is feeling excited and enthusiastic.

"I have a speeder to take you to the base," Nehmen says. "If you are ready to meet with the General, we will be off."

He stands there smiling widely.

Rianna glances over at Vera-Kin before shrugging slightly.

"We're ready to speak with him, I believe."

"Indeed we are," Vera-Kin confirms. "Thank you for meeting us, Lieutenant Colonel. The salute is unnecessary, though. We're Jedi, not superior officers."

"Right this way, then," Nehmen says.

Something you notice about his uniform, Vera-Kin. It is not the standard Republic uniform that he is wearing; those are simple and blue. This one is flashy and red and decorated. Even the firearm he carries seems antiquated.

The speeder he brought, of course, is brand new.

"Please, hop in," he says. He eyes the Wookiee warily with a nervous smile.
