STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Broken

It is within striking range... but in order for you to hit it and then land again, you would need to do so in the middle of your action. That requires Charge! Unless you had an alternative idea?

I was thinking hit it and then use Leaping to get back down safely...if that's possible.

If not, then Saber Throw it.

That would require an Agility roll up to the ship (doubled by Leaping!), a Strength roll to cling on as the ship lifts off, and then your attack.

Saber Throw might be a bit of a waste, as well...

Will they arrest Vera-Kin if they arrive?

They might. This is not exactly a legal means of getting the info you need (busting up the office and whatnot).

The only thing iffy about that would be the strength bit...but let's give it a try anyway 😛

The anti-personnel blasters rattle off shots at Rianna as she is threateningly close. She takes 9 damage from the lasers spewed out of their thick barrels.

Rianna is fighting the backdraft from the ship's engines as she leaps up, requiring three successes for her to get onto it successfully. She rolls... one success. Just as she thinks she can make it onto one of the landing gear, she misses it when a sudden surge from the engine knocks her down.

Colby taps out Both Guns Blazing trying to break through the armor of the blasters. No cigar.

The turret lets off a blast as Rianna lands, but Rianna rolls well on an Agility check and she dives clear of the center of the blast, taking 6 damage instead of 9. Colby nullifies his by jumping clear too.

The ship is now too high to reach, and it hovers for a second to unleash another volley from those blasters and the turret.

I failed an agility roll? D:

Is there anywhere we could find some sort of cover in the docking bay?

The docking bay walls have a slight overhang that offer some protection...

Some is better than none! Rianna will make a run for the nearest wall, then, getting into cover as best she can, and shout for Colby to do the same.

Colby follows, and it is a mad dash as the blasters blaze at you both, lasers striking the ground around you... but not on you! They both miss, and you throw yourselves under the overhang.

Whoever is operating the turret decides to try something more effective that shooting directly at you. It swivels and fires... at the hangar wall itself, causing that overhang to come down directly upon you...

Oh boy. Rianna's going to try and get away from the collapsing overhang, though preferably still staying in cover while doing so, and hoping that she can get out from under that section quick enough that it doesn't bury her...

Rianna, thanks to her Intuition and high Agility, is able to tumble away from the collapsing overhang and avoid getting struck with its fragments... but Colby is not. It promptly buries him under the rubble, trapping him and dealing him 15 damage.

The ship looks to fire again at your helpless friend, but there is a sudden report and flash as lasers strike the reflector shields of the trader. The ship starts to fly away as the turret turns about to deal out damage to a turbolaser emplacement, one of many in the starport. It flies off and you can no longer see it from the hangar.

Rianna has 18 damage, Colby has 29 damage. That situation ends.

Rianna is immediately going to start digging Colby out of the pile of rubble (using the Force to help move stuff if needed).

"I don't know what I was expecting to happen, but that certainly was not it..." she mutters while she does so.

"Yeah, well, I can see why Myraline needed another pilot," Colby says, trying to get free; there is a particularly large section of wall across his back that has him pinned.

Starport security has picked its way through the debris at the entrance and is rushing over to help.

Rianna winces a bit at that comment; five years later and she still dislikes being reminded about what happened on Beseedra.

"Trouble tends to follow me, I don't need to be reminded of it..." she replies, using the Force to help try and push the larger section of it off of him. "Are you injured?"

Lifting is what you would need there, Rianna. Luckily security has some strapping you men that help you move it.

"No, I'm just dandy!" Colby snaps. He tries to stand and cringes in anguish, holding his lower back. "I think I pulled something."

"He needs medical attention, now," Rianna says to one of the security guys as they free Colby.

They call for an ambulance and escort Colby away.

"What the hell happened?" one of them asks you.

We can move on once Vera-Kin decides what she is doing, and then night will fall.

Vera-Kin is going to relent. Nothing good can come from her getting arrested here. But she does have one last question.

"Who is your boss?" Vera-Kin asks.
