STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Broken

I am loathe to suggest it because there are more of us than them. If they all turn up in one place, one of us will have to turn and run for the hills or be trapped in a three-on-one duel, which I don't see either of us winning.

Maybe we could preemptively stop their plan from succeeding? Steal the Box from Astrune? It IS what they're after. The legality of that is questionable but Vera's not one for coloring inside the lines, so to speak, and it'd be for a good purpose.

That would be bad.

And somehow I don't see that working out well.

Yes it would. Maybe if we got soldiers to go with whoever solos it over to Astrune's to await the attack? In addition to Astrune's minions, though right now I don't trust her too much. Hence suggesting our sneakery in the night to get it ourselves.

If we split, then I like the idea of having soldiers go along.

I also think that trying to steal the box ourselves would look really bad if we got caught. It'd cause far too much trouble and we're not exactly the most popular people on this planet...

Alright. In that case, are we going with the split? Vera wants to stand guard over Astrune's place, since she thinks Rand will be there if nobody else. Rianna will be with Nehmen and his gang.

Can she convince Hirget to give her some soldiers to stand guard with? And can she take Colby and Barker? They're no slackers in a fight.

Rianna is fine with going with Nehmen, since she's not exactly looking forward to confronting Rand at all.

Hirget dislikes the idea of stealing the Box yourselves and vetoes any thoughts of doing so.

"Your image has already been tarnished enough," Hirget comments.

However, he can give Vera-Kin a handful of soldiers to patrol the Astrune Quarter, and Barker is always willing to help you. Colby is a little more hesitant and may need some coaxing.

Nehmen asks that you stay out of his way until he needs you, Rianna. His being Mind Tricked has put him off a bit toward you. He doesn't want you blundering in and making a mess of the rally, just to help if it becomes a mess anyway.

I love the confidence they have in us...heh. But Rianna is fine with staying back and out of things unless stuff goes wrong.

To be fair, trouble is all you seem to be causing!

Hirget has one last notice for you- the ship that you found dropped off the sensors shortly after leaving the city. Ord Coridari's starforce is severely limited and they were unable to scramble in time to chase it down.

Well, true, but still!

And damn. Does the starport have the ship's transponder codes, though, at least?

It does not have tracking equipment that complex, unfortunately. It takes quite a set-up for that kind of tracking system.

Damn.

Oh well, I can't think of anything else to ask about or do at the moment...

Then we press on.

The night is dark and quiet- the calm before the storm, as hopes are not at all high that the rally will be a peaceful event. You sleep on the Viloc again, with Colby keeping watch to make sure nobody breaks in.

Vera-Kin is roused from her sleep when she hears someone slam the door to the sleeping quarters. Rianna is no longer sleeping in her cot.

Lana- you have temporarily lost control of your character...

...oh. That's...great...damn.

What is Rianna doing...?

Vera-Kin is going to go find out! Pulling on her cloak about her, Vera-Kin drops quietly from the cot and uses the Force to open the door. She steps through, careful not to make a sound as she tries to see where Rianna went.

Rianna being unconscious, you are unaware of her actions.

-

You nearly run into Rianna in the darkened corridor outside the sleeping quarters. She is walking slowly down it, facing forward with her lightsaber hilt in her hand.

Oh, well, that's even better...>.>

"Rianna, what are you doing?" Vera-Kin says. "Is there an intruder?"

Vera-Kin reaches out with her senses, wondering if Rianna picked up on something she did not.

"She's coming, Master," Rianna mutters. "I sense her..."

You do not sense anything, Vera-Kin. But you do sense that... Rianna is asleep. And she is scared.

She's sleepwalking? Okay then.

Vera-Kin will reach forward and tug on the hem of Rianna's shirt or pants, whichever is closer to the shortness that is Vera. She half expects the young Knight to turn and try stabbing her when she does so, unsure what she is doing or seeing, so she keeps her lightsaber in her other hand.
