STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Broken

Colby sighs and consents to help one last time.

"I'll hold you to that promise, Master Jedi," Colby says. "Both of you. I understand something was going on with you, Rianna, and I'm not going to go spreading the word that you lost it for a sec. Just make sure I don't get my neck broke by Astrune's ninjas or whatever they are."

Barker drives the speeder that you take to Astrune's luxurious home. Without need for stealth, he parks it directly in front of her steps.

He asks Vera-Kin if he should wait outside until you need him or if he and Colby should go in with you.

Rianna, meanwhile, is itching to get her lightsaber.

"Come in with us," Vera says. "You will be safer if you stay close to us. I do not want to go in appearing offensive, however. Keep your weapons stowed, as shall I. Rianna, I suggest we wait to see the situation before you go for your saber."

"I suppose that is probably the best idea," Rianna replies, despite the fact that she'd rather snatch it back right away.

She's half-expecting to see Myraline's saber there this time, as well...

Colby reluctantly keeps his pistols holstered, and Barker slings his shotgun over his back.

"After you, then," Colby says, gesturing to the house.

Rianna will let Vera-Kin go first 😛

Then Vera-Kin will go first. 😛

You walk up the steps of the Astrune residence and step into the hallway of columns. As described before, it is very open with many columns. It is about mid-day and the sun that shines over Ord Coridari filters in through a slatted skylight. It is very still in this part of the palatial residence, but you both sense that you are not alone.

"So," comes a voice from all directions. "You have come talk once again, have you?"

Do we recognize the voice?

"Oh, the time for talk is over," Rianna says.

Vera-Kin shoots Rianna a harsh look.

"What she means is that it is a time of action," Vera-Kin says. "The city is embroiled in conflict as the riots threaten to tear it all down. We want to cut the heart out of it, by getting at the villains who caused all this. As you said we should... Astrune."

(I hope it's Astrune or Vera's going to sound silly!)

"I did say that, didn't I," Astrune responds, her voice echoing through the columns and seeming to come from everywhere at once. "You know my opinion on the rioting, Master Jedi. I suspect you think I can help you stop Rand, is that it?"

"Perhaps," Vera-Kin says. She keeps her senses open, waiting for any sign of Astrune or her Guard.

"Would you show yourself? This is slightly tiresome," Rianna says, getting annoyed and impatient.

"Where is the fun in that?" Astrune asks. "Now, you are here to take the Box. There is no other reason that you would come to me. What else do I have that could possibly help you?"

You sense beings moving toward you, Vera-Kin. They are incredibly stealthy, but that does not hide them from your perception through the Force.

Barker smells them and growls.

Does Rianna see or Sense anything?

"You speak truly," Vera-Kin says. "We come for the Box. It is not safe with you, no matter how secure you believe it to be."

You sense that they are there, Rianna, as stated earlier. Vera-Kin just senses more due to being more in tune.

"I regret to inform you that the Box is no longer here," Astrune says. "Goodbye, Jedi."

Intuition triggers for Rianna and Vera-Kin as the muscular disciples of the Astrunian Guard lunge out from behind columns to attack! Having snuck in as close as possible, they are in striking distance immediately... but Intuition allows Rianna and Vera to act before they do.

Schticks please! Blade for Vera, Combat for Rianna.

Rianna will go with Feint, Martial Artist, and Sidestep.

"Of course. Why am I not surprised by this at all..." Rianna mutters to herself.

Would she be able to call her lightsaber to her? 😛

You have not made it close enough to the exhibits for that to be possible.
