He's calling for his OWN riders. The Knights ride up alongisde him.

"Check out the rest of the valley," he orders them. The Knights nod and start to canter forwards.

"I have a bad feeling about this..."

(Are we out in the open?)

Palanfirith, stays put and tries to listen. His "audio system" never let him down as he tries to spot movement.Things will be messy here.....

Well, you are at the start of the valley, Rex.

"Trapped in a valley is how they killed Isildur," says Farael.

Palanfirith... you can hear distant footsteps, many footsteps, appraching at a fast pace.

I go to Aranui and tell him about the incoming attackers.
"Aranui, ask Farael if in that direction are his men?because if not, they are orcs.they are many....and they are comming fast." sais Palanfirith.

"Lord Farael, do you know what these sounds are? It must be a great number of creatures approaching, and I have a feeling they're not all-friendly, but foes.

"Those are not comforting words, Lord Farael. I hope we do not join Isildur in the same way he left Middle-Earth..." Anglomir says. He unsheathes his sword and takes his shield off his back.

"If it is indeed Orcs or evil men, we must get off the road, or make battle. Battle would most likely endanger the princess. Either way, let them come! I am ready for them!"

"I fear I might never see the Shire again. I had never seen an Orc before this adventure, and I had no idea that I would..." William fits an arrow to the string of his bow. "This will not be a pleasant night..."

"Don't leave the road under any circumstances," says Farael. "We can defend the approaches between the slopes from here. CAPTAIN!" he tells.

"Sir?" says a helmeted man behind him.

"Order the men into battle formation."

*Aniica stayed with the group. She was waiting orders......Galisal flew up. She landed on Aniica's shoulder.*

(btw.... hey every one.....:d I'm back...... one more thing, I'm changing my bird's name and gender if you were wondering.)

aniica!!!! *pounce* yay!!! 😄 i thought you had abandoned me *lol* us girls gotta stick together! *nod nod*

(So Garisal is now Galisal...I liked Garisal better, but who cares about a hobbit's opinion...)

"Archers! Fit arrows to your bows!" Will shouts to the others of his group. He pulls back the arrow and prepares to let it fly at the first Orc or Dunlending or whatever he sees.

Vardalain prepares for conflict

"So, we are right then. The Orcs have come, Lord Farael, as we said they would. But you would not listen even to your own kin, and for that you will have to make sacrifices as your men fall to Orkish blades. But, it is now a thing of the past, and nothing can change the foolish decision that you made. We must prepare for battle," Talin says. He was hoping for a quiet, peaceful journey to Fornost and hoped to avoid the Orcs, but he was granted neither.

He lifted up his mighty battle axe. After studying the blade for a second, he mutters "Blood will be spilled tonight..."

Palanfirith was sure that this moment will come.He never trusted lord Farael and he was sure of his mistake.Palanfirith checks his knifes and his bow.He prepares for battle. Then he goes to Aranui and tells him "Aranui,we are in a mice trap.We are in this position were we are traped. We should split up and the other group to attack the orcs from behind. They will be taken by surprize and we would have a chance!"

(the orcs are comming from what direction?)

attack the orcs from behind? how would that be possible?

Congratulations to Rex, who has just made an enemy of a potential friend.

Guys, Farael BELIEVED you!!!!! Why on Middle-Earth did you think he did not? All he said was that there was no point standing and worrying about it; he had to press onto Fornost at some point anyway. If he didn't believe you, why was he on the look out for an ambush?

You are not sure where the Orcs are coming from. There are sharp metallic nosies all around as the Arnorians draw swords and prepare shields. Farael is strolling over to his caravan.

vardalain matches an arrown in his drawn bow and pays special attention to the sounds surrounding him, trying to locate the enemies.

(Oops...well, I thought he didn't believe us when he said there was no threat...too late to take back what I said? 😄 )

(Guess so.. maybe he didn't pay attention though... He WAS giving orders after all..)
Andorial ... well....uh...gets ready for battle...
