LOTR RP Game part 1- Journey to Fornost

Now, I was MEANT to have a map for this point, but when I fell ill last month I kind of didn't do ANY of the many things I had meant to. So... um... I will try and get a visual of the area to you soon, but basically there are four approaches to the column that are easy to walk/run down. If the attackers can manage the slopes the amount of places they can attack from becomes near infinite, but that would be tactically unwise.

Farael is currently lining up some bowmen and ordering a cordon of troops around Mallachiel's caravan.

"YOU die before she does, understand? ALL of you," he is telling them.

"Lord Farael, does the Princess know how to fight at all? It would be great if she could hold off on her own as well..." Talin says, though he expects the answer to be a no.

"It's not her place to fight on the battlefield," says Farael. He hops into his caravan.

"That's what I thought you'd say..." Talin mutters. He grips his axe tightly. "Vardalain, do you see anything?"

Aniica walked up Talin... "What do you want me to do?"

"See if you can spot any Orcs. Send out your bird to look around," Talin requests.

well..i keep looking for the attackers.

If anything, the gloom around seems to have darkened in these last few minutes. And them, in the distance of the three approaches between the slopes of the valleys that lead to your location, crowds of orcs in black leather armour appear in the distance, walking slowly and banging their spears on the ground loudly.

Farael emerges from his caravan, bearing the most FEARSOME looking warhammer that is almost larger than he is. His highly muscular body holds it expertly.

"There they are..." Talin says. "And they have come in great force. I hope you are good with that war hammer Farael!"

(Are they within bow range?)

You could try a shot but your shortbow isn't well suited for this range.

Ok, I need to know who wants to go where. There are three approaches to your location to be defended, whilst the caravans have been drawn up in the middle of the road for a final defence of the Princess if any of these positions are breached.

One approach is the road in front, one the road behind, and the other a side road in the valley that joins the North road here.

Are the foes coming in from all three directions ?

Farael has about fifty men and a few riders. Each approach has ten soldiers and three archers defending it. The rest of the men surround the caravan. So you guys can join the lines, or be in front or behind them, as you wish.

There are at least a hundred orcs, still advancing.

I'll fight in the back(the back road as nobody took it).I'll cover our forces with arrows(I think I should start fireing from now),but I'll keep my knifes close.....
