I mean, it's worth doing the quests for that chance since they're pretty easy (I wouldn't have done then so many times if not), but it's a pretty small chance.
I need to get more heroes kitted out with shiny armor as well.
At least I don't have to spend anymore money on armor for myself...though I'm sure I will anyway.

Mesmer is the one that's returning, and I'm going to guess the one that'll be similar but with a different name is Assassin.
Having given three possibilities that actually cover all eventualities, one of the possibilities will be there twice, so there could be two back, or two altered.
If we work on the idea that we have a re-tooled Assassin and a re-tolled Paragon and/or Monk, that again leaves a Gunner type as the new one.

Just concept art, but pretty.
Been quiet for a while here- though there are some neat videos from the demonstration at Paris Games Day; here's some big behemoth thing:

General feeling is that the Hall of Monuments reveal took the place of a profession reveal in the six week cycle, and all of this is part of an indication that GW2 is still considerably far off.
The November 2011 date is gaining credibility.

Pretty much torpedoes any hope of it coming in the first half of next year. They will not even commit now to profession releases.
2012 is not impossible.
I liked that article.
...partly because I had been talking to John Stumme last week on GWG and he made a comment about wanting to write a blog post about how much work goes into developing an MMO.
However, I'm pretty sure that as of a few months ago no one was expecting anything before mid-2011, unless they were feeling extremely optimistic. It would be awesome but it is not very likely. I don't know if it'll drag on to 2012, though. That might be a bit much.
