Guild Wars 2 finally starts to come to life

If it's something I'm going to use at some point, I always keep it. It's not worth having to go find or buy more later for some quick cash at the moment.

Oh yes higher level mobs can be dodged by just standard strafing/jumping. It requires better timing, but it's certainly possible. I do it constantly 😛 I spend basically all my time in Orr now, so yeah. Believe me, it's possible. It's just not easy. But it's very possible.

And it should work; I've done it before. Click the person, right-click their name/picture, and Invite to Party usually shows up.

As far as that goes, I haven't messed around with the Forge too much. Four rares/exotics gets you chance at one of the base exotics that you use to craft the legendary weapons, though.

Speaking of exotics, I really wish that the drops you get in-game line up better with what you're playing. I've gotten exactly four exotics so far. Not a single one was something I could use (and the two I got today were so crap that they only sell for 40s on the tradepost!). At least I actually got some damn ecto out of them when I salvaged - I now have enough for two pieces of exotic armor. Now if only I could get enough gossamer...

BTW, Ush, if you want to do Twilight Arbor, I'm off work on Friday so if you transfer over to Jade Quarry I can grab a few of my friends and we can all do it together 😄

Grah. I really wish there were a demo or something so I could try this before dropping $60 on it.

So you can't see the dialogue scenes when doing someone else's story quests?

You can? I've never had issues with it not working. You just can't pick dialogue options, obviously.

Yeah. You can see those when you're in someone else's story.

Weird, I couldn't when I tried with my friend. Is there something you have to do?

No, he's right, I've had that happen too- especially on cut scenes that tell you about possible decision points.. I've not seen other people's and other people have not seen mine.

That's weird. Playing with both just Peach, and with a group for dungeons, I've never had skipped cutscenes.

Though I don't think I played any missions with critical choices with her, and the groups obviously would have been designed precisely for groups to watch. So I dunno.

Yeah, I've never had that issue, but usually the decision point ones I've done on my own anyway as that way if GK and I are planning on different paths we don't have to redo the quest...

I have had issues in higher level quests (like, 65+) where sometimes the audio for the voices cuts out, which is weird and annoying.

I've decided to actually play my norn ranger a bit, having gotten her leveled enough to buy a trait book almost entirely through cooking (second character I've gotten that high by crafting...she's level 12 with cooking at 200), and I actually really, really like ranger. I thought longbow was awesome, and then I picked up a shortbow, and holy crap that's great as well. And pets are actually useful! Yay! 😄

I've seen a lot of dialogue errors doing the Orders quests as a Norn- either silence during a line or the wrong line compared to the text (or, at one point, almost an entirely different conversation being spoken to that being displayed).

I'm still holding fire on progressing my main as I wait for them to keep fixing events and what-not. My Norn is going through Fields of Ruin right now (having finally found what that place is for, as the Vigil plotline sends you there) and a bunch of events was broken that were not when I did it on my main a couple of weeks back. As they just reset the events, these must have broken almost at once. I think they'll be a while getting it all fixed.

There's one skillpoint in Malchor's Leap that I've been trying to get for the past week and every time I go there it's broken. I'm also one skillpoint and one heart from completing Iron Marches but...they're both broken. It was hilarious when we figured out why the heart was broken though.

(supposed to protect loggers from ghosts and reunite spirits with their bodies. The ghosts weren't spawning, and the spirits were spawning up in treetops.)

I've been doing lots of swapping between my characters lately - I made a charr engineer the other day officially bringing me up to 8 characters and one of each profession. Right now I'm mostly waiting on GK to hit 80 and catch up to me in the story, as well as a few other friends to catch up in the personal story, so once we finish the last few quests we can tackle Arah together. No way am I going to go fight Zhaitan with a random group, I'd much rather do it with a bunch of friends 😄

Probably going to play with my guardian for a bit today, then go back over to my thief and get her to the next storyline arc...

Also I feel like it's required that whenever I take screenshots of my sylvari characters, I do it at night, because of the glow. I forgot that I made the glow on my guardian bright orange. Being as the rest of her colorscheme is grey/dark brown (went for a very wintery look), it is ridiculously vivid and awesome.

Dungeons are much harder when people don't pay attention and listen. Also frustrating.

Also explorable modes can be...interesting.
