No u didnt get the post at all. After Bill knocked surfer off his board he made one sentence. In the time it took Bill to make that sentence (two seconds tops) he wouldnt have been able to mount any significant offence against surfer who was knocked far away. Bill wouldnt have even been able to land a blow on him since surfer was some distance away so its pretty irrelevant. Further we dont even see the rest of Bills body so we cant really say if he is actually hovering in the air or moving towards surfer while talking and that completely erases the viability of that argument.
Further we never actually see surfer blasting bill all we see is the energy around his hands which he had been using to amp his punches against Bill. Regardless even if surfer did blast bill Bill wouldnt have been able to absorb it if he was already rocked and dazed from surfers earlier punches. As i said surfer gave him no breathing space so he wouldnt have the time to absorb anything.

YOu are very one-sided here.
Bill could clearly could move to attack we seen how fast him moves from his last issue before the fight so there was pleny of time. He had enough time to talk then scounter surfer blast. Surfer however reach BRB before he can react but thats ok b/c in your logic SS had plenty of time as he was stepping out of skuttle butt 💃
