The hammer adds striking power to whom ever wields it. It's a hammer. I don't care if it was just a regular adamantium hammer. It still adds striking power.

What a rope does not add is a way to help someone LIFT better. With no center of gravity in space, she isn't pulling anything against something like say a rock against the ground. in effect leaving th emajority of the weight on the ground. She is basically lifting/moving said object all on her own. There for your analogy fails.
rope makes pullin AND liftin easier. pullin on a rope use mostly arm strenght, pullin somethin with bear hands also strains finger & wrists musles wich is why its harder
