Spoiler:
Osborn's secret weapon would be revealed in Dark Avengers. The preview for the Sentry issue of the Dark Avengers tie in has Norman call Sentry his "Secret Weapon"

I honestly hope this is just a red herring. If that's true, it'd be a let down, in my opinion.

Agreed ✅

Iron Man needs to pay though.

He attempted to clone Thor. You don't just wash that away with a nice rescue attempt and sweep it under the bridge. He fugging cloned him.

Thank you.

Been saying this.

Tony's also been responsible for decades worth of heroic acts. I'm sure they won't completely ignore the cloning and whatnot, but a redemption would not be out of line.

Not to mention I don't think Thor would be the kind to not work with someone if working with said person brings about some greater good.

Also if Tony comes in big in helping save Asgard that could go along way.

as Thor once said he cherished his friendship with Tony, good friends will find a way past hardships.

I'm just saying it isn't completely out of the line for Thor to forgive and work with Tony given either time, the right scenario, Tony being Tony ie that guy that still manages to come up big when the chips are down, or some combination of both.

Not too mention from a story point wise having them on the same team could give some intriguing story lines as they attempt or don't to mend they're strained relationship.

Of course this is no way any indication I want such a thing to happen I much prefer Thor along right now, but to think it isn't in some way believable for the two to wind up on the same team seams erroneous to me.

Who says it needs to be washed under the bridge for the two to be able to work together

Who? Nobody, that's who.

Should and needs to are completely different things. Of course they will work together in Siege. It's on the cover! Bendis is writing it! It's just an incredibly predictable and forced storyline, which is essentially a weak attempt at reuniting the Avengers. In the end they'll work together and remove Norman Osborn from his throne of evil. You know, the thing that Cap and Tony attacked Thor for doing during Spiral/The reigning. Heads up guys, quality writing coming through!

Why's that?

To me, it'd be too convenient. I was hoping they'd finally go in a different direction with the character.

Heres a big hint...

is sentry attacking from behind?

or is osborne just shitting himself because they are all against him

I don't think it's that bad.

If you were writing this and you HAD to reunite them, how would you do it?

Bingo.

Not to say there's no other way to do it, but he's the one dude who is due a death.

Fraction's sorta been doing that in Stark's own title, but with an immediate ressurection just in time for Siege and the Movie this year. You'd keep him dead?

That would be interesting. I'd make him the hero of Siege, redeeming his relationship with Thor, but suffering fatal injuries in the process.

That'd be way too cliched for me.

I think Iron Man should die saving Asgard while still on bad terms with Thor. That way, Thor can see that it was selfless and maybe forgive him in death.

I liked Extremis Iron Man, myself.
