Bringing back Odin would be a ****ing awful mistake.

The point is they are cleary linking asgard in this mess and Odin coming back is some form would at least be a different idea then o look out the sentry go wacko again. Plus the fact the asguardians all of the sudden are playing a key role in this mess.

Also All of Asgard old rivials are back, the Olympians are a mess, Ares f-ing with the Asgardians it would be a nice tie in

Let's not forget the Odinforce is within Mjolnir itself now.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mjolnir became a Deus Ex Machina again. I can see Thor tapping into the OF via Mjolnir for some crazy shit.

There has -always- been some Odinforce inside Mjolnir.

Odin coming back would be the least original idea in the universe.

And that's not up for debate.

Yeah, but the majority of the Odinforce Thor had since his resurrection in now sealed within Mjolnir. I would imagine while it links Thor's life to the hammer, it would also make Mjolnir even more powerful.

And no argument from me there about Odin. I actually liked the progression Thor has made since his debut in Marvel. Bringing back Odin would be a step backwards.

Sorry, but this post doesn't make any sense on any level ... I think you have a point, but your not doing a good job at articulating it.

"It would be cool If Odin comes back, because the plot involves Sentry going mad" ... is a very abstract justification ???

I don't think the Odin Force is as qunatifiable as that ... its not something you can put a number on and limit with terms such as "most of it" etc.

Maybe Thor uses all of his power in his hammer and he dies?

After being ressurected only two years ago ... highly unlikely !!!!!

Yeah good point.

I don't think Sentry needs to be killed off, but maybe some time away from Marvel Earth would do the character some good.

Didnt Joe Q say that there is no way Odin will be coming back whilst he's editor.

I think he has greater potential as a villain ... Love him or hate him, Superboy Prime has had a massive effect on D.C. I don't nessarily think having a big uber bad of this ilk would be a bad thing for Marvel.

And although I haven't read the most recent DA book,s the previews/reviews certinaly insinuate that Bendis is retconning him into a Villain.

Its quite ammusing how much of a salviging job this seems to be. I presume Bendis re-introduced Sentry back into continuity, to fullfill the Thor niche on the original New Avengers team. I think he had every intention of making him into the new Thor, hence the storyline where Emma fixes his delicate mental state. But Bendis in experience as a teams writer, and House of M, meant Sentry had to be relegated to the side lines for a long while. Plus Bendis had to develop his Skrull plotline, which included a lot of Hydra and Shield espinonage, instead of End of the world castrophes; that Sentry would be more suited at.
Eventually a crisis did come along with that Xorn Collective thing from M- Day, but Bendis had to explain why the Sentry had been missing for so long.
So he played the Insanity card again, and has been doing so through out Civil War, The Intiative, Secret War and now Dark Avengers. I think he originally had every intention of making him into a mentally Strong; Superman esq character, but the enigma shrouding his powers, and character, plus the storylines Bendis was motivated to complete meant he never got the personality devlopment he required. Bendis knows that Sentry characterisation is flondering in the realms of ambiguity, and with Marvel pressing the reunion of the Trinity, there's no real need for him ... So to make him relevant, and to get the fanboy fight that evryone has been crying out for; Bendis has decided to make him the Superboy Prime of the piece. Uber powerful, corrupted, mentally unstable transitional heroe, whose going to turn everyone at the worst moment !

That's probably a good balance.

Sentry as a mega powerful villain; defeatable, but only by a select few of Earthbounds. So there's not always gonna be someone to take him out.

That's IF it goes that way. As much as I love Bendis, I'm not stupid enough to guess how he'll end events.

I wouldn't be suprised If Luke Cage got the last shot ....

Dark Wolverine 82 is out.

Awful stuff, just plain garbage. It's essentially Loeb's the Hulk, only instead of everybody being weaker than Daken, they're all weaker and gay.

Horrible art and story....I agree.

Although this will never happen, and if it did it'd get massive backlash due to his over-exposure, it would actually make sense for Deadpool to get the killshot on Osborn.

I'm not saying that because he's my favourite character, I'm saying that because of his involvement in Secret Invasion.

He was sent by Fury to get info on how to kill the Skrull Queen, Osborn intercepted it and then sent the Thunderbolts to kill him; essentially screwing him out of money etc.

It'd be a nice twist of irony, but it won't happen, and there'd be nowhere to go with it.
