Basic plot is the same. Some few details are added, changed, or removed obviously.
Few differences,
a)Metallo works for Luthor. L sets Supes up and has Metallo attack him. Ends with Metallo killed by Major Force. Thus none of the sub-plot involving Metallo.
b) Katana isn't a double agent. Neither is Power Girl, though the latter 'betrays' CA, MF, and the others.
c) Stewart doesn't appear. The plot points involving Future Superman (and the character) are completely removed.
Same goes for Mr. Terrific, so Captain Marvel's and Hawkman's reasons for attacking S&B are different. On that note, S&B have some help from Power Girl in defeating CM and HM, which is different from the comics.
d) The second fight doesn't take place in Japan. Takes place in Metropolis. Due to Katana's status, Power Girl is the one that breaches MF's suit.
e) Batman is the one who flies the rocket, not Captain Atom.
That's all I can remember.
Originally posted by Kris BlazeYeah it's been taking place like that for a while, however the first few arcs were in continuity- hence Supergirls first appearance being in there, etc. The last 20 issues or so don't really fit alongside continuity though, but I always took it as being sort of like the confidential comics, taking place perhaps at random times or timeperiods in the characters' history, but I do recall seeing that interview in regrds to some upcoming storyarcs to get the title back in line with the current canon.
He said it was taking place in a self-contained universe. Look up the interview on google. And since when did DC's multiverse make a lick of sense.

Lets look at your original spill:So basically you can't understand why Superman is top dog when others have more powers.
Now if you actually read some comics instead of searching forums for scans of powaz and training for you battle board mentality, you might actually find that:
* Superman is a classic character
* Superman is a popular character
* Superman is a hero
* You can be a hero with 1 power or 100 powers
* You can be a hero a be more/less powerful than others
* Heroes in times of adversity can/will do things they otherwise would/could not - classic comic book tradition
* Comics were not created with the intent of pleasing battle board whiners
* No one gives a sh!t about powazCry more.
And all that amounts to is basically because he's Superman. Everything you said....But it also can be applied to other characters.
GL is a classic comic book character.
GL is a popular comic book character.
GL is a hero.
GL can in times of adversity reach for something more and go above and beyond the norm.
GL has a ring that can do anything, yet still plays second fiddle on the scale to Superman, and lol at no one gives a shit about powers when Superman is constantly being touted as the most powerful being on the planet. Not his willpower, not his resolve, but powerful as in shit he can do.
Go away.
