Thanos knocked Thor out once with apparently multiple energy blasts off panel that one time (Although Thor got back up a short while later if I remember.). On the other hand you had the time when Thor temporarily dropped Thanos with the Stone of Illumination although he came back, when Mangog defeated Thor (And that was later retconned into a high powered clone by the fanboy Stalin.).
Anyways, other than that, when has Thanos beaten Thor?
Other than that you have the Blood and Thunder incident.
I never recall Thanos owning Thor with the ease he has the Surfer as I understand.
Now I might have not read all of their fights (I doubt it though.) and I am ignoring the incident with the Heart of the Universe etc. so....?
Although there was the time Masterson attacked Thanos during the Infinity Gauntlet mess. He didn't look bad really, and was actually rocking Thanos with his blows as I recall, but Thanos allowed that, as he had the Gauntlet as I recall and depowered it.

Yea Masterson was doing ridiculously well against Thanos. I recall him hitting him so hard he had Thanos fly off his feet into space, (Pretty sure it was Thanos.), shoving his face into the dirt with a hand, beating on him and rocking him with his blows etc.
I was surprised. 😐
It's also funnier as Thor's stronger than Masterson.

Deciding between them is near impossible(other than Supes and Surfer).
Thanos SHOULD be able to own Thor effortesly.

What's your basis on that? Because his owned Silver Surfer easily? Guess what, so has Thor, and Thor's more powerful than either of the heroes you've listed.
