With Freeze breath Superman will slow his opponent down and effectively increase the speed difference astronomically more.
Of course the freeze breath isn't a win nor will it damage a high herald or greater. Just for slowing the enemy down in order to get more hits and defend more easier.
IMO, it's a spite power along with ftl speeds and reflexes.

Superman wins. Thanos has not shown that he can fight at the scale of OWAW Superman while sun-dipped in terms of speed and strength. Honestly, unless someone can post scans that prove me wrong, I can't change my mind. There are just too many thickheaded users here who refuse to acknowledge certain Superman or others for that matter to be stronger past a certain tier despite irrefutable evidence. It's like subconsciously, they can't accept it and find any reason to deny it.
What Superman did to Imperiex without sundipped will happen to Thanos as well. Except, that wasn't Superman Sundipped, it was without the amp. With the amp, he was a being who one shot Brainiac who had an amp.

Probe fodder is probe fodder. Not overly impressive as you make it out to be. Thanos has one shot KILLED heralds... Something Superman hasn't done. Thanos is consistently portrayed as being above heralds by a pretty good margin. This is both in implied power and actually fights against them. As much as you want to make superman to be above Surfer and Thor... he's not. He gets the same treatment then did... i.e. a pimp slap and call it a day.

I never argued Superman without Sundip can beat Thanos. However, Sundipped, he was taking down Brainiac who has Imperiex Power in one shot.

You should be warned for trying to be deceitful.
You claiming that Thanos mysteriously killing Warlock (probably with some spell) as Thanos normally goes around one shot killing heralds. Thanos doesn't even go around one shot koing high heralds as a norm.
Therefore Thanos doesn't have the power to one shot ko or kill a herald on this forum.
Thanos is not consistently portrayed above heralds by a good margin. He's not very far above Thor and certainly not above Superman. Yes he is above most heralds though but not by a good margin. There are plenty of heralds that will make him earn the victory.
Lastly you don't debate how the fight can go. You ignore what the other character can do. Superman is stronger and faster than Thanos and can beat him in a physical match. Superman has speed and freeze breath cheap tactics to smoke Thanos.

Without the sundip since the sundip would be spite in favor of Superman.OWAW Superman (without the sundip) stomps Thanos 10/10. This Superman uses speed, vibration, and all of his other powers far more efficiently than normal. Plus his stats are on another level as well.
I would give a normal Superman about 7/10 against Thanos due to the speed difference and freeze breath tactics.
