Someone brought up sundip which made me question my vote. Like I said before if this is non sundip, Thanos obviously wins.
Curious if you'd consider the same scenario had this been a Hulk vs Superman thread.

That's just extraordinary.So is that.
You use this argument whenever anyone pits an enhanced and/or Master Martial artist against spider-man. CIS isn't off here, otherwise Superman would just fight every opponent at his maximum combat speed to be on the safe side and would never take a hit unless [reasons] or the opponent was faster.
He doesn't there, so he doesn't here. We're not arguing powerset vs Powerset. Its character vs. Character.
You don't understand CIS. It's based off what a character chooses to do and not the fact that they will not have their powers in battle. Thor, hulk can't turn off their durability for the sake of a plot and neither can Superman turn his reflexes off either. Superman isn't dumb. He will never choose to fight slow when there is grave danger of losing. The reason he isn't shown using speed all the time is because the writer ignores that he has that power.
Finally, characters fight with full capacity. That alone means that Superman will fight to the best of his abilities as SHOWN BEFORE. Superman HAS SHOWN Plenty of times to use his speed and reflexes in battle. No one is arguing power set but you. We go by feats and on panel evidence.
Originally posted by leonidashow does he win when Superman will see him moving very slowly after the bell sounds. That's like you fighting someone moving at a snails pace. How could you lose? People saying Thanos wins are simply taking away Superman's speed and assuming both fight at the same speed (and will see each other moving at normal speeds).
at the this point not sure why he posts since it's always the same thing. pretty sure h1 is the single most predictable poster in the forum. 👆thanos wins.

That's easy Carver, because Thanos brings more to the table than Superman does. In OWAW superman wasn't outthinking people, he was just brute forcing his way past people. He'll need to bring more to the table than strength and speed to beat thanos. Thanos is always thinking before battle.. mid battle... all the time. So when you combined his tactical awareness, with being ruthless, with being far more versatile, and likely close to as strong... It's easy to see how'd he'd win. He's already more powerful than superman and close to as strong... so what exactly is Superman going to do? Overwhelm him with speed? There are shield to deal with that.. force block to deal with that... teleportation to gain more distance at any point in the fight. There is the constant threat of mind rape...or at the very least giving superman pause and needing to combat that, which could take his eyes away from things that are working best for him or open a door for Thanos to gain an advantage. In short, Thanos brings more to the table and is tactically smarter than Superman as well.
I think you're either seriously underestimating just how powerful OWAW Superman was or you're one of those Thanos fanboys who always picks Thanos to win no matter who he's fighting. Besides destroying Imperiex probes,OWAW Superman also beat Darkseid down, iirc. Know u die hard Thanos fans are too hard-headed to admit it but Darkseid is AT LEAST Thanos' equal in stats, cunning, and overall power. As I said, I think this could go either way but I think OWAW Superman would have a slight edge. If you think Thanos wins that's fine but to say that Thanos would destroy this version of Superman 10/10 is bordering on blind fanboyism.
