And am I the only one who doesn't like the increased complexity of the cryptographic sequencer when compared to the one in the first game? Other than that, the combat is much more fluid and easygoing than the first game, though I haven't really gotten accustomed yet to using other gadgets in conjunction with combos like in Asylum. There's a helluva lot more things to do in this game as well, to say the least.
For my first day playing this, I spent most of the time doing side quests (or what portion of them I could do from the start), augmented reality training (some of the advanced ones were irritating at first), answering annoying phone calls from Zsasz, and getting to know my way around the city.

It doesn't come with the game? Or it's separate DLC?
just like BF said it's a DLC, and if you buy used you have to fork $10 for it... I hate online passes 😐

A couple of weeks? It's not out for PC til the 18th of November, imagine how i feel.
Now I'm not too sure I'll get it as soon as I expected, I just paid the SW bluray, there's Uncharted to consider and I still don't have Resistance 3 😬

It's a download that comes with every new copy of the game. It's fairly significant, too. Ties directly into the story.
Also, this game is idiotically good.
Ah; i thought it came on disc.

Ah; I'll be buying it new thankfully.
dang. I'd still pick Arkham City over all three, though, but that's me. 😛
The story isn't nearly as tight and focused as the first game, which as you implied is because it's no longer a linear game.
One thing about the game, there's almost too much content smacking you in the face at all times. At any given time there will be the main quest, but usually there will also be several sidequests popping up at the same time and it can be hard to just stick to the mainquest.
It feels kinda like GTA like that, and it's a huge departure from AA.

Do you think the game is better for it, though?

Well, I'll say this - having too much to do in a game is a good problem to have.It comes down to player choice, too. You can ignore the sidequests and do them later if you want, just concentrating on the main quest.
I was honestly hoping they wouldn't make such a big area seem empty, so I'm glad it seems to be turning out that way.
The seems to be designed extremely well. It's not a bad game at all.
It's my personal preference. I guess I just enjoyed how well AA flowed for me. I don't get that feeling with this game.
One thing that is pretty damn annoying and totally takes me out of the experience is the constant repeating of the local radio bad guy talk. I rather have developers not include if the voice overs are going to repeat like that.
The game reminds me of Assassins Creed.

Ra's and Talia
I'm getting into the game much better than before.
I was watching X-Play and they were talking about the game and how great it was but Sessler had one issue and it was the exact issue I had. He basically said that the start of the game gave so many options that it can be overwhelming but eventually it becomes a very good thing. It was a bit jarring.
As well, I wish they gave you the ability to tagged unreachable Riddler trophies at the start. Would of lessened the annoyance factor for me that I started writing where they were so I didn't have to search for them again. One cool thing would of been if the game allowed you to tag the trophy and put what device/ability you need to get that trophy. I think it would be a sweet addition.
But having a kick ass time now.

Played the game for about nine hours yesterday. Not since Mass Effect 2 has a game absorbed me that much.
It's pretty absorbing.
It's all the shit you can do. Those side quests are long as hell. I just found my first Riddler room and I'm like, "Seriously, this could of been an entire content for a game".
