I'm glad you can go back now but...I don't know if I want too spend all the time doing it.

I might until Uncharted 3 comes out.

I also have to finish some of the side missions if you can still do them but it feels weird to do so based on the storyline.

All true. I've also seen it, but I've bought most of the movies in the DCAOU collection, and I was just missing Gotham Knight & Emerald Knights. 😛

Indeed. Nolan North did a splendid job with the voice work. I guess NN should really be in every video game. mmm

It also reminds me. I need to re-read Knightfall. I also wish Bane was threatening in the Arkham-verse.

Yep. Unlike AA, I actually use Stun a lot in this game. Plus that beatdown move is excellent for racking up hits in order to gain usage of your special moves. I don't use the explosive gel a lot in Freeflow though. I usually set it up near a downed enemy, stun another enemy wait for him to get up, use the gel, and then Ground Takedown the guy I just stunned. Doesn't happen a lot. The Freeze grenade is overpowered on the other hand.

I haven't yet gotten around to those unfortunately. But I'm sure I'll be just as frustrated as you.

Ah, okay. Glad that worked out for you then.

Perhaps so.

Me too. Speaking of Bane though, it's funny how much easier the Titan foes are to beat in this game with the triple stun thingie.

Same here pretty much. The freeze grenade is like a necessity though when you're doing the top of the world predator map (the extreme version).

Probably. Was pretty frustrated doing most of the campaign stuff last night myself. Quit when I had just two more of them to do 'cause I was tired, then after several tries, beat the last two just now a few minutes ago and got Perfect Knight Day 2. I'm much better at the combat stuff now than I am at predator which helped with that, and it used to be the other way around for me when it came to Asylum.

Also, has anyone done the dates thing with Calendar Man? You can 'cheat' I guess by changing the dates of your console and go visit him at the bottom of the courthouse. He tells some pretty messed up things about his past on each special day of the month (all 12 months). What he says during mother's day was probably the most irksome one.

Damn.

Catwoman's 3rd segment is pretty kewl. You are given a 'choice of two options' near the end of the segment as to whether or not you should attempt the rescue of Batman after Protocol 10 is initiated. I chose to leave, and actually left Gotham as I was expecting her to turn around at the end essentially locking out the choice to leave.
The game 'ended' as it showed me some of the credits along with a plea for help from Oracle, but then rewound back to the choice path and locked out the 'walk away' option.

I did not expect this. I expected it to be a linear, i.e. it wasn't really a choice of two options but one, and it was as such. However, it went about it in a pretty cool way.

Spoiler:
Yeah, I saw a youtube vid of that, as I didn't want to risk Catwoman actually taking that route if I had walked down there, and went to go and save Batman. I too thought she would walk back at first though. The ending credits when you leave him were pretty dark, for lack of better word.

You don't ever actually fight the Joker in AC...
Spoiler:
Yes you do. Right before Protocol 10 is initiated. There's a short segment at the beginning where it's just you and him as well.
Spoiler:
That was Clayface imitating the Joker.

Also, don't miss my last post I just made above yours. 😛

I know now. I just finished the story.

😛

Yeah, I won't.

Well, anyway, thoughts on the whole Calendar Man thing?

Not sure which story is actually the most disturbing, but the mother's day one probably sticks out to me most for some reason.

Also, I reckon I'll probably get Nightwing now on Tuesday, and for those who don't already know, the Robin pack comes out on November 12th, and all those different Batman skins that were posted earlier comes out on December 6th. At least the DLC release dates are all spread out far reasonably enough.

I had to get on today to see what Calendar Man had to say on Halloween. Plan on purchasing the Nightwing pack at midnight.

I know eh? Though that 'batarang to the face' tactic no longer works.
Still, Titans are just easier this time around because of Triple Stun.

They saddled it by limiting it to just one frozen enemy per area, even though it makes no sense.
I see. Have you gotten all the medals for the challenge maps then?

Heh. It's pretty much the opposite for me. I'm better at Predator than I am at Combat (on Hard at least), due to the number of ways and gadgets available for Takedowns. Though Armored Thugs on Predator modes suck major ass.
I prefer Catwoman to Batman for Combat, though her gadget options suck. I wonder how Nightwing will be.

Just got the Halloween one today. Will get the other ones eventually, though I'll watch that vid right now.

Yeah, they were pretty dark. Funny how the death of Batman means Joker wins. I guess Nightwing and Robin are nothing to Lazarus Pit Joker.
Also, I wonder if Superman exists in Arkham-verse. Metropolis does as per Strange's words. mmm

Speaking of Strange, I remember how we were thinking Christopher Lee was voicing him, based on that awesome trailer. He doesn't sound exactly the same in the game though. Also sucks how we didn't get to fight him, since he was supposed to be in Peak Physical condition

Not seeing the Nightwing DLC on the Playstation Store yet. mmm

Do they usually release things at midnight of release day or....?

Strange is voiced by Corey Burton, who plays Count Dooku in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series, so he's essentially a less-expensive Christopher Lee. I wasn't let down at all by his performance as Strange.

I thought one of the better things about the game is as you travel the city you hear Strange's voice on the loudspeaker. He's has a certain menace to him.

Indeed. It's convenient though when you have like Mister Hammer or some nearly or equally tough enemy to deal with at the same time.

Oh, I see. Yeah, I kinda noticed that now.. As for all the medals, yep. Just for Batman though; still have at least about half of them to get with Catwoman (most of which are on the extreme predator maps and such), which I'll take my sweet time with since she sucks gadget-wise. Am sure Nightwing and Robin both will be more forgiving in that department.

I see. The REC is your best friend when it comes to armored thugs on predator though, and at times when you have to save the guy with the jammer device for last (because of it being a medal requirement), use the REC on him every now and then so you'll temporarily be able to use detective mode.
Catwoman's alright for combat, except she doesn't have a technique that disarms and immediately destroys a weapon like Batman does (at least I don't think), and she can't seem to counter as from far away as he can, but I usually evade jump over an opponent in between attacks more than I do counter now, so it's of little consequence for me.

Yeah, that vid shows how brilliantly done Calendar Man was done in this game.

Perhaps so, let alone Clayface at Joker's side. mmm
I think he does exist there based on that.

Hmm, yeah. Though I wasn't expecting to be able to fight him to be honest for some reason. Didn't seem much like the fighter type...

From my experience, they usually release DLC at like 5:00 or sometime late in the morning, rather than midnight sadly, so I wouldn't count on seeing it before you go to sleep unless you were to pull an all-nighter or something.

Yeah, just like the Joker was in AA, if not better than that.

It still isn't there. I hope they do it like Arkham Asylum did DLC where it shows you at the menu screen on a scroll across the top that it is indeed available.

I think it does that.

Anyhow, love those darts of Nightwing's, and that one combo move of his that shocks most enemies at once. Makes me more excited to see what Robin's capable of in this game. Come on, November 12th!

I love Nightwing in the combat challenges. Don't know why, but I seem to score higher with him than I do with Batman.

Robin's the 22nd though, not the 12th.

Yeah, Nightwing is a beast in the combat challenges. I wish Rocksteady would let us roam the story map with Nightwing and Robin like Catwoman. I understand if asking them to integrate them into the story like her is too much but the least they can do is let us play with them in the city after you have beaten the main story.

Just checked again, and I'm still seeing sources that say the 12th, though some say the 22nd too. Hope I don't have to wait 'till Thanksgiving itself.

Whichever day though, looking forward to using him even more, based on what I see here.

And kinda noticed that too about scoring higher with Nightwing, on certain maps like funhouse brawl, like getting over 100,000.

That would be cool, though I would have no use for them in that regard since I've already done all the Riddler stuff and side quests now. Maybe if they had some extra Riddler challenges just for Nightwing and Robin like they did for Catwoman some, it would've made using them in the story mode a bit more worthwhile after beating the main story... But I'm also fine with them being characters just to use for Riddler's Revenge, as there's still plenty to do with them in that mode.

Well about using them in story mode, seems you may get your wish after all Martin, depending on how they do this. mmm

I'm guessing some episodes might have more Scarecrow and Croc involvement too.
