Okay so it's not canon but TFU2 is and thanks to the idiots at Lucasarts, everything's out of order now.I think the important thing here is that I'm at least trying to be part of the conversation.
Considering that the endings for TFU2 either make the entire game completely pointless or make the OT not happen at all...I doubt it will remain considered as anything remotely related to canon for long. It's not just bad, it's the equivalent of treating the universe as a sheet of glass someone's just taken a hammer to.
And the point wasn't that SotME isn't canon, it's that it wasn't lightning in that book. So canon status (and frankly, nothing but the movies is canon to me) is irrelevant.

With all due respect to those who claimed it was canon to the EU, I think we will find in retrospect it will be determined that that claim was pure shit.
It was bad with the first, utterly impossible with the second. If you're going to pretend the movies don't exist to tell your story, why even bother with the license?
What was the point of having Boba Fett in the game if he wasn't going to appear that much and not be a boss later on in the game? I find the lack of giving special guest stars justice disturbing.
If anyone cares, here's Adam Sessler's review on the game and he hates it:

Same reason Yoda and Dagobah were in. Pointless, hollow pandering in place of content.
Star Wars is sucking horribly lately.
Okay, just finished the story...the short...short story. I liked it, it was interesting and I feel it was trying to give more of a film style feel than the first game - which is both good and bad.
Main things that annoyed me:
Spoiler:
- Yoda appearing for 2seconds- Boba Fett appearing for 3seconds
- The lack of explanation that the Sith Acolytes are obviously the clones of Starkiller
- The fact the the dark side ending reveals that the cloning process was a success, but surely just because Starkiller 2.0 tries to kill Vader the cloning process success, surely the light side ending should show the same success?? seriously WTF!!
- The quick to start game play, no real intro to the game just: "you're a clone" "really?" *explosion* *falling a long way*. All of the first bit of the game had me completely confused. I know some might say that no character development is required because we know who Starkiller is, but surely the implications of Starkiller 2.0 having the same memories as the original Starkiller is something to expand on?? Surely...?
- and the movie style boss battle at the end where you fight Vader in the cloning facility. The fact that there's absolutely not guide as to how to start even making Vader flinch. I was saber combo-ing him for 2hours before I realised you could force lightning then strike...ffs! ¬_¬ lol
Other than that, the game was good. 😆
Oh, and the
Spoiler:
Vader force lightning

Did anyone find Yoda out of character when he told Starkiller to follow his visions involving romance? Could've sworn he told Anakin and other Jedi that that was a big no no in the Jedi code or whatever.
