That's the Linda Danvers Supergirl that Delta mentioned in his previous post, Salsa. I own that story arc. It was the first time I heard the name "Imperiex" and would be the last time for many years.
(Till very near the present time, possibly ...)

But even from those 2 scans I gave
(softened for language, by the way, 2 four-letter words excised from my images for family-friendliness),

any reader can tell this "Imperiex" was NOT something Linda wanted to encounter a second time; indeed was sorry she'd had the FIRST experience with it.

I figured there was a fight Linda had sometime previously with one, but, even now, I've yet to see that battle ...

What I referred to is from SUPERGIRL #60, almost a year and a half before your scans. OUR WORLDS AT WAR happened during summer of 2001, so SUPERGIRL #75 might have a connection, but isn't an actual tie-in. Here's the relevant scans from SUPERGIRL #60.

Whoa!

See how reality can change a microsecond before you hit "Send" on a Message Board forum, Salsa?

Here I was telling you I'd yet to see that battle, but now ...

Thanks, Delta!

And, I must say, you moved Photobucket up a notch on my priority rankings with THAT delivery. To think you posted SEVENTEEN scans just in the time I made that request??

Guess I'm more Stone Age than I thought ...

I haven't read the story. This is actually the first time I've heard of Imperiex(whether himself or his Probes) appearing against after OUR WORLDS AT WAR, since Imperiex Prime's energy(and thus consciousness/life-essence) had been absorbed by Brainiac-13's Warworld, and Superman moved it to the beginning of time to create the Big Bang. Either there was some minor connection, or Supergirl was simply mistaken. Like I mentioned, your scans are from an issue that came more than a year after OUR WORLDS AT WAR.

I posted it for you. Although I know at least one other time Linda faced faced, but it was mostly off-panel, in front of the White House, in one of the main Superman titles(the one where Lois' father dies; or whatever the Hell actually happened, haven't read the details of how he came back, and don't want it ruined). It was probably the same Probe from the scans I gave, since when it decides to take another route it mentions the White House.

(although not to me) Yep!! Hence why I'm editing to include this.

You're welcome. Bulk uploading made it so it only took a few seconds to upload them, and did it in order(well according to file name).

I'm impressed by the speed, it got a folder of six of my images loaded just now in less than a minute.

On the other hand, it also loaded them BACKWARDS ...

How is it you're uploading them? One at a time, or using Bulk Uploader? If you load them one at a time, it'll put the newest scan at the very beginning.

Also, what is this from?

The Superman image in that "Wonder Woman v OMAC" set you're looking through was from either DC Wikia or standard Wikipedia's own entry for OMAC (comics). I never provided any ref-info for it because I didn't know where they took it from. Possibly they don't know that now either. Unfortunately, the Wiki's update periodically; they seem to have substituted some rainbow-looking guy for their model now.

I suppose it's the former, though I thought I was doing a bulk upload, because it said "hold down 'ctrl' to upload multiple files", which I did.
But "newest scan at the very beginning" explains what I'm seeing; and likewise explains why Photobucket ignored my own ordering, so I think you're right.

hm So you had NO IDEA what it was from, only saw one panel, and wanted to use it as evidence against Superman comparing to how Wonder Woman did against them? I read through INFINITE CRISIS and all the specials and minis that tied in, and a handful of regular titles that tied-in, and I never came across it. Superman nearly killed one by accident before he knew there were people inside them. With one punch. With ease.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa466/Delta1938/VS%20Omacs/AOS%20643/

Out of everything related to INFINITE CRISIS that I read myself, I'm reasonably sure that was the only instance where he had a full-blown fight with them.

No, that's different from Bulk Upload. When you go to upload, you see above the big button for uploading images and videos? It says, "You can also try our Bulk Uploader." Click on that, and you'll be able to select from your hard drive, or multiple HDs or other storage devices if you have more than one connected, and you go through to find the folder with the files. The folders and options to choose from will be on the left, and when you click on a folder with images, it'll show-up as thumbnail images in the center that you can enlarge if you need a better look. From here you can choose to select them individually or press the Select/Unselect All button. Then you'll see the big Upload button on the bottom right, and it'll upload them all in the proper order based on the file names.

Dah, too much tech instruction for one night.

Really, all I wanted to be able to do with Photobucket was upload a small "series" rectangle like what you'll see if you go to the last page of, say, "The Incredible Hulk" Respect Thread.

1, 2, 3, 4, and maybe a 5th or 6th image in one neat little row like the guys there do it.

Apparently not meant to be revealed to me tonight, though.

Just as well -- I can't afford to be tempted by "easy" tech just yet.

One, it seems will take a whole lot more practice before I can do what I just described.

Two, from what I understand, I risk laying waste to my entire image collection if I succumb to the urge to re-organize folders on Photobucket.

Three, I had yet ANOTHER reminder that outside Image Host Providers (IHPs) are a dicey proposition only this month.

Witness what happened to this poor girl's Respect Thread; notice that practically the only image remaining of many dozen is the one I posted via KMC ...

Get some sleep and try again tomorrow? Dunno where you are, or what your schedule/sleep cycle is like, but it's about 20 to 11 here.

I THINK it has to do with that stuff at the top where you can change font size, style, color, ect. I THINK the IMG one under SIZE is what you do, similar to quoting, have one before and after the link. I could be wrong though, ask Salsa. I personally don't care either way, and would rather not go to extra effort when I post my scans.

It took me a little time to figure it out, but I had to do it entirely on my own, no help. Once I got the hang of it, it was really easy, at least for me. My bigger issue is actually keeping the files on my computer decently organized so I can find them to upload. I'm bad at that.

Yes, but to me it's worth it. I did a massive overhaul of mine last night, on top of adding a fair number of new scans, and I'm so much happier with how it ended-up. I generally try not to reorganize too much, 'cuz I hate broken links myself. But I looked at 14 pages worth of stuff, didn't like what I saw, so put almost all of the Superman scans in proper, and even new, folders that I had started adding before I really knew how to make sub-albums and all that. And if you look through mine, I think it's a lot better to go through and look for feats. I could do a bit better, but I'm pretty happy with how it is so far. Now, the vast majority of scans I have on the main album aren't directly related to Superman, with most of his feats and fights being moved to proper albums and sub-albums and sub-sub-(ect)albums.

I even added some proper extras when needed. Like from the PUBLIC ENEMIES storyline, I have a sub-album for the endless villains, Luthor's strike team and the Captain Marvel fight, showing that he's being effected by Kryptonite, as well as how he's progressively being more effected by this and other factors.

For example, here's in Endless Villains where we see a statement for when the radiation from the Kryptonite meteor will start being felt on Earth, followed by a scene where we know it's gotten to that point.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa466/Delta1938/Superman%20VS%20Teams/VS%20Endless%20Villains%20While%20Effected%20By%20Kryptonite/Proof%20Of%20Kryptonite%20Effect/

Then when Superman fights the strike team, I have a sub-album that includes the above scans, plus when he was drained of some energy.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa466/Delta1938/Superman%20VS%20Teams/VS%20Assault%20Team%20Under%20Kryptonite%20And%20Energy%20Drain/Proof%20Of%20Kryptonite%20And%20Energy%20Drain/

Then when he fights Captain Marvel, I have all that, plus the first page from the fight with something showing further evidence that he's feeling the Kryptonite.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa466/Delta1938/Superman%20VS%20Captain%20Marvel/S-B%204/Proof%20Of%20Energy%20Drain%20And%20Kryptonite%20Exposure/

And in the album comparing Superman's performance against others, well see for yourself.

While that is true, I think Photobucket's a lot safer. According to Wikipedia, it has 50,000,000 users, and that's referencing an article from almost 5 years ago. It's one of the most highly trafficked image hosting sites, so, while it's not immune, it's probably much safer from going under than a lot of other sites.

Basically, I suggest you take some time experimenting with it and learning it, so you can feel comfortable and confident you have everything set-up how you want, before you start using it to post your scans here.

Yeah, but how extensive is your reading?

Not very, it seems.

I could look at that and almost immediately go:

"Hmm. That looks like the work of Ivan Reis, Rags Morales, or Ed Benes.
Or Jim Lee? No ... Jim Lee draws far sharper images ... these look almost like the comicbook version of crayon in contrast to HIS work...

Hmm. Actually, this looks just about like what I saw in Superman #223
(which I remember by issue number for having numerous Supergirl/Superman debates) ...

That was Ed Benes and Mark Verheiden ...

What happens, then, if I Google the search terms "OMAC", "Superman", and "Benes" ... ?"

Voila.

I'd bet you $5 that scene appears in one of the books shown in the links below:

It's 2:20 in the morning here.

I'll be up a little while yet.

A sincere "Thank you" for trying to help, at any rate.

edit

While Salsa's editing whatever it is he's working on, I'll go ahead and try Photobucket one last time tonight.

Mainly because I don't have the energy to pare this one down to 250 KB entries for KMC uploading.

Changed the entry numbers for the images in my own harddrive folder, thinking that should correct the reversal Photobucket performs.

Time now is 2:48 AM.

Let's see how much we can get up here by the time 3:30 AM rolls around...

Neptunia. Scan 1 of about 8.

Neptunia 2 of 8.

Neptunia 3 of 8.

Neptunia 4 of 8.

Ahk.

D--- you and your Photobucket temptations, Delta ...

This DOES seem laborious and slow now ... !

Bah, nevertheless, can't stop halfway through ...

Neptunia 5 of 8.

Actually, Delta, I'm noticing one other problem.

Photobucket itself seems to impose a size limit on what is posted there.
Probably that's covered in your size adjustment features, but I notice the scans I posted for Supergirl and the Ollie Justice League versus OMACs, the Photobucket images are quite small while my originals are actually quite large.

More faithful size-proportionate rendering with what I'm posting here with KMC again than with what Photobucket gave me a few minutes ago ...

Neptunia 6 of 8.

You're assuming I have an eye for art. I rarely recognize the artists, one of the very very few exceptions is Frank Quitely. And that's because I really really dislike how he draws faces and heads. I would recognize very, very few artists by seeing a few pages, let alone a single panel. By the way, here's the full fight.

http://s1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa466/Delta1938/VS%20Omacs/SUPERMAN%20V2-217/

Being taken by surprise and then beating it sure doesn't make him look nearly as bad as just showing the panel where the Omac attacks, huh?

I saw your first attempt wasn't too successful, it looks like you edited-out some failed links. I just go to the address at the top and copy/paste. I hope it not working well for you the first night doesn't have you give-up on it.

And I noticed at least some of my links in the previous post are broken, not sure why. Just checked, the albums are fine. I guess I messed-up on the link.
