The wheel spins... and there is another roar!

"Oh!" says Ascar. "What do you know? It IS a hunt..."

"A hunt?" Denzral asked, after remaining silent for so long.

"I like the sound of that," Xeth admits. "Translate for me, Ascar. What are we hunting?"

"The forests are home to many great beasts," says Ascar. "Some prey upon people. It is a skill to be able to hunt them down."

"Something I'm sure we'll do admirably," Xeth says.

"Well, I hope so," says Ascar. "For every two warriors, one kill is required."

"It will be a matter of partnering up, then," Vera-Kin says, "so that everyone may join the Atrii. What happens if we fail?"

Guess I am not going to be available until Monday, now. We'll see but that is how it is looking right now.

Seems I was right about the Rancor scenario...

"We shouldn't fail... Should we, Vera? Our ability to sense the force and our lightsabres should take care of whatever beast we need to find and kill."

"Oh!" said Ascar. "How silly of me; I should have made it clear. You'll have to hunt them as one of the Atrii would. No question of lightsabres. Or any of your weapons."

"Sounds fair enough to me."

"I've got a bad feeling about this..." says D'an.

"No lightsabre, eh? Can we craft our own weapons out of the wood or something?"

"Even without any weapons we hopefully shouldn't have too much trouble," Wentar says. "There are many of us and most of us have been trained in other forms of combat, the force is on our side as well."

With how many Jedi are we again (including padawans)?

"What can they tell us about the beasts we need to kill? How does it look like, where can we find it, ... Anything they are willing to share."

Ascar talks with the Atrii some more.

"In fact, it seems your task is to take down some Merongam," says Ascar. "Giant, hulking beasts with extremely thick skins. They mostly trample things to death. I am sure you will know them when you see them. As for crafting... no need. The Atrii carry tools," he sats.

And indeed, the Atrii are at this point brining you guys a load of machetes.

... which undoubtedly will not penetrate the skin of those beasts?

I would suggest an Ewok approach: logs to make them trip and to bash their heads.
Any other suggestions?

Well, you are no weapons expert, Jovan... but yeah, you wouldn't want to go dinosaur hunting with one of those.
