USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

Splitting into smaller groups sounds like a good idea. How many do we want? Groups should travel with those less-than capable in Combat on the inside, for protection.

What are the relevant skills for tracking prey?

Survival and Observation.

I don't do well on survival, but I'll see.

Don't split without a plan, as that ALWAYS goes wrong- basic RPing maxim. (re: Dark Siders. Again)

I'm back, read up on everything.

I really don't want to split up in small groups... like 4 would be good but not smaller than that.

Good point. THank you. No one wants to be like the Darkies. 🙄

I guess we better stay together until we really understand what we're up against. So what if we scare the first one away because our group is too big. That would be better that a group of 4 people finding out that it takes 6 of us to fight one. My bad on the splitting suggestion. Let's just stick together, and get moving, see what's really out there.

Yea, lets take a look. We can even find a nice perch or something so that we can observe whats going on. First we figure out what we are up against, then we can formulate a plan of attack.

It's a dense forest; no perch is any good to you.

Xeth proposes that we just head into the forest and simply be prepared for whatever comes at us, and from there we can figure out how we want to go about hunting these creatures.

Yeah, they're not telling us anything so we can talk as much as we want, we're not getting anywhere... unless they're willing to send someone with us to show us the animal? Perhaps by then we can have a chat with him to extract more information?

Nope.

I agree with the 'see what we're up against before doing any extra planning' decision.

but at least we should set those ones who can handle a machete in such a formation that we do not have a weak spot while walking through the forrest.

BTW, I'll take a machete too if any are left... better to have too much than to have too little.

Well, I am not getting any info on a formation, and time is going by, so you guys are heading in!

Well... it's a dense forest. If there was ever anything else here, it's been long eradicated by millennia of growth.

You can hear the standard forest noises- and distant roars.

What's the plan in general?

Gallagher proposes that they travel as a large group into the dense forest, using Observation and Survival to find animal tracks or signs of life to establish where creatures have been, and then use our intuitive Jedi senses to figure out which sets of tracks or signs feel right to us regarding these Merongam creatures.

The Merongam, Ascar mentions, are quite large, so any signs they leave behind could involve trampled trees, big footprints, that sort of thing.

Looking for tracks is a workable course of action. You know the Merongam are the largest ones in the forest, and by your instincts you'll be pretty sure of what they are when you see them.

Trampled trees- excellent thinking.

Or even trampled animals, if the Merongam solve their problems by stepping on things. Trampled anything, really!

(Trampled trees? That sounds like good news for tracking them, bad news when we find them. Maybe we can head towards the roars until we see signs.)

Alright so I'm guessing we are following the trampled trees.

Well, it is Observation to find stuff like trampled trees, and Survival to try and track wildlife on more Ray Mears lines. Maximum of two on each, twinned with Perception on both. Who is going for it?
