USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

Well I have 1 in both survival and observation, with a 4 in perception, so I'll give it a go.

Who is paired with whom?

No teams yet I think since we haven't even tracked one of those beasts

Still need some skill volunteers! I shall give it one more day.

(Andro has Observation 3 and Perception 4, but nothing on Survival. He can look for tree carnage.)

Here is a rough order.
Roan, Andro and Xeth in the front, as they are looking for tracks and whatnot. Then the slightly more squishy people in the middle. Jelena, Padawans and others.
Then the rest of the athletes, Vlad, and Co. in the back to cover our flank.

Andro and Jovan should be our Observation rollers.

Vera-Kin volunteers for Survival rolling as she has the highest pool (6 dice) besides Kiu, who I think we've lost as a player. Xeth would be the next highest at 5 dice between Perception and Survival.

Sounds good to me. Xeth will make a Survival roll to see what he can find as he takes point with Roan.

A Perception of 3 doesn't make Wentar too useful here, but he'll be willing to make some rolls with Survival 2 and Observation 1.

apperently I'll do observation 😄

Ok then!

Well, our first result is this. Andro finds the trail of broken trees- a huge valley of the, in fact, carved through the forest, like a form of stampede.

Vera identifies this as abnormal behaviour. Well, normal in a sense- something intentionally spooked a herd of these Merongam in order to cause such a stampede.

"We should head in the direction that the tree's have been felled." Denzral says. Hopefully a member of this party.

Gallagher agrees.

"They are more likely to be that direction, I should think," Gallagher says, keeping D'an near.

"But if they stampeded we should be extra careful!"

This is true- it would be a silly way to die. Denz and Gallagher are right, of course- something must be in that direction. This damage looks recent.

Yeah, but I mean that it could indicate the beasts are rather easily scared and thus we should make sure we do not get trempled

I'm away till monday.

"If they are stampeding in that direction I don't think it'll be as likely they'll be stampedin' back this way. We should be fine for now. What we should keep an eye out for is what spooked them. What ever it was will likely cause us problems."

"Well, we aren't going to find anything at ALL if all we do is stand around," Xeth says, resting the machete over his shoulder. "Come on, let's go..."

Xeth will lead the way, strutting down the center of the stampede path and privately hoping that whatever caused the Merongam to stampede doesn't come back. He's already irked by having to do what Ascar says, and this little task isn't helping.

Where IS Ascar, anyway? Did he accompany us or did we leave him with the Atrii?

Of course not! It could be bloody dangerous in there. He stayed with the Atrii.

Ah well, looking for what spooked the Merongam would be a different course of action. What you find, heading down the trail, are the bodies.

A flock of birds takes to the air as you get near the scene. Five dead giant dinosaurs here- which can only be Merongam- that have been dead a while. There's not a great deal left. At least two seem to have been crushed; it is unclear what happened to the others, but they have all been ripped apart and eaten

"Oh what the hell!" Xeth says in exasperation, throwing his arms up as they come upon the dead Merongam.
