USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

Is Ascar coming as well? Or is it just me and the chief?

Ascar is watching the feast.

Vera-Kin will wander over to Ascar, watching Xeth.

"Xeth's not getting himself into trouble, is he?" Vera-Kin asks. "I've never seen him dance before."

Well good and bad. Free from Ascar's meddling = good. Not being able to understand the chief = bad.

"Why would he be in trouble?"

-

In the dark, gloomy caves, the chief leads you into the tunnel network. There are many, many tunnels and you have no idea how he navigates them

In a chamber he takes you to, something is happening. Atrii are on their hands and knees throughout the room, where they are hand-chiselling gemstones- huge piles of gemstones, presumably mined from the caves, in a variety of bright colours. Each one is being chipped into a perfect cube shape.

Then others are sticking these cubes onto the wied wall, forming a brilliantly coloured mosaic of jewelry- in turn forming a picture.

Can I tell what the picture is?

"I just don't want the beloved leader of our renegades to be making a fool of himself," Vera-Kin says, taking her eyes off of Xeth for a moment to look at Ascar. "It will be entertaining, of course."

Xeth will be performing the dance that the Atrii ladies have been performing to the best of his ability, trying not to make a mockery of it.

"Stay back," Gallagher tells D'an as Roan is led into the chamber with the gemstones. "I don't want to interrupt."

Gallagher watches in earnest, also trying to make out what the picture is of.

It's hard to hear waht Ascar says now, Vera, over the increasingly deafening sound of the drums.

It is worse still for Xeth, who is utterly off-balanced and disorientated. You have no idea how the girls are managing the increasingly difficult curse- it is pushing you to the limit. Do they have a tolerance?

-

Well, one of the parts of the moasic being worked on, Roan, appears to be you ane Sunda.

"Hey!" says Sunda, when he realises.

You are chasing the raptor beats in it (who have a name, btw, but I have forgotten it).

They've probably developed a tolerance to the vapors, yes, and they probably train for their poledancing ahead of time. Xeth is a fighter, not a dancer...

Xeth will try to keep up with the drums as best as he can.

Gallagher frowns.

"Curious..."

You are there too, Gallagher.

The whole thing is a re-enactment of your hunt in the forest.

Denzral watches amused with the going on's; especially Xeth. "This should be funny."

I can't seem to find anything to do.

Hmm, But that would imply that they have some sort of grasp of time/history as they are documenting notable events.
Maybe by looking at these mosaics we can understand what happened in their past?

Is it too late to join in on the gemstone watching? I would prefer a scholar to be there... not that I'm any god but better than nothing...

If not, I'll be mocking Xeth. 😄

Charisma and Languages, eh? 5 and 2, sounds good to me!

Wentar will approach the food tables. That should be a decent place to start the Atrii talky and gossipy business.

"Lets see what we can learn about these people," he says to Jelena. "Even if there is nothing useful to learn it can't hurt to socialize. It is a party after all."

"There is always something to learn," Jelena says. "Even at parties."

Ok, Jelena and Wentar join in, and do rather well, starting to pick up some very basics.

Jelena- familiar as you are with semantic drift, you can trace some of the shifts in phonemes and word roots. Although much removed, this language has roots in common with other languages you know, especially on the rum of the galaxy.

It is certain that this world had interstellar contact at one point.

-

Roan- and indeed, beyond this chamber are a dozen corridors leading to other chambers, which have completed mosaics in. And beyond each of those dozen, and dozen more. In chambers and along the corridors, mosaic after mosaic. Thousands and thousands. More, perhaps.

You can be there, Jovan

-

At the dance, the difficulty of the poles has now become beyond that it is possible for a normal person to achieve- they are too high, with the route below blocked.

And everyone at the dancing sees as one of the girls runs towards the poles, jumps... and flips 180 degrees, falling upwards.

She touches the ceiling for two steps, and then jumps off of it, reversing direction halfway down and landing the other side of the poles.

Vera, you see Ascar smile at the moment of revelation.

Xeth is speechless for a moment as he witnesses the Atrii girl perform her upward fall and steps on the ceiling.

When he regains his tongue, he utters a Geonosian expletive to show how surprised he is, the equivalent of 'Holy balls I wasn't expecting that.' He does not attempt to follow that up with an acrobatic Jedi leap; it seems hollow what he can do after seeing the Atrii dancer perform something phenomenal.
