USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (DARK SIDE)- The Prisoner of Datura

"Trophies?" Edna looks at him with mock alarm. "You mean he killed them?" Clearly unlikely she thinks to herself!

"Nah, they killed a tax collector! Gets the attention of the Emperor himself, that does. He keeps them in his personal prison in Datura. But he always likes to keep trophies!"

"Datura? Well I'm certainly not going there to find my brother! Maybe it wasn't him after all. Do you know if anyone else saw what happened? Might have gotten a better look at them?"

"Just a bunch of other tax payers," he says, "which narrows it down to... just about everyone. No-one really got very close to him- he was up on a podium whilst the crowd was down below, and there was just panic everywhere. I mean, I tried to help the taxmen keep order, obviously."

"Oh of course you did. So if he likes to keep them as trophies, why lock them away in an unescapable prison? Hardly a great display cabinet!"

"Oh, he just keeps the WEAPONS as trophies. In his throne room, where he makes all his public announcements! It's more display case than throne that place, now. The PEOPLE go to the inescapable prison on Datura."

"I see - well I guess that would be one way of finding out if Gald is a write off. Thanks for your help. What's the quickest way to the palace from here?"

"Just follow the petitioners!" he says. "Always people wanting favours form the Emperor."

OK I will head outside and look for some petitioners heading for the palace.

Well that doesn't take long. The palace is a huge raised building at the centre of the city, with a transparent dome at the top which you understand is above the throne room.

This city has a serious overcrowding problem; the streets for a mile around are choked with people trying to get to the palace.

Just how difficult of an agility roll would it be to jump across without spending a point on Great Leaping?

Two successes to get to the edge and have to scramble up; three to clear it entirely.

1 and you are in a bit of trouble... 0 and you are screwed.

Ok I will head towards the Palace through the crowds and keep my ears open for a group of petitioners I would feasibly join.

Okdiokey Edna! You are headng into the crowd.

Nearly all of them are bringing petitions about the same thing- it is mere weeks since the annual tax collection date. They want some of of retrospective relief on one tax-related area or another.

But the mood is turning very nasty. You can sense it in the crowd around you. Very nasty indeed actually; something is turning their mood quickly. You'd assume some sort of agitator or speech going on, but you cannot see any such ting.

Hmmmm I'm sure Edna is going to regret this but her curiosity gets the better of her as always! Can she go in search of the source of the agitation?

That's Observation! Which you also have. Doing well so far!

You spend half an hour looking the the source. You are, therefore, very confident... that there isn't one. This is strange- the crowds are spontaneously turning aggressive with no cause.

It seems additional guards are being deployed all around already. There's an ugly mood.

hmmm ok no idea what is going on so I am going to just continue heading towards the palace.

Chasm fight moves on end of today!

-

Ok, Edna, now a problem. The ill-tempered crowds are a barrier. If you try and wait in line to petition, you could be hear for days.

Compiling chasm moves-

Galder: Tapping CC at trogs crossing chasm.

Relle: Tying rope to rock Galder spotted.

Rand: Bringing down stalactite.

Azarl: Bringing down stalactite.

... that leaves pretty much everyone else free to act.

Xavier will try to move into the next area if he can unless we don't get initiative or he can't move..

In which case attack a trog.
