Well you are wrong about Superman fighting at light speed since the fight was only timed when they MADE it to the sun. Everything that happened before them reaching the sun wasnt recorded in in the less than two minutes time that was quoted and if you want proof of this, here ya go.
Superman and Wonder Woman fighting all the way to the sun. We dont know how long it took them to get there but we know that they are flying there. Look at the last panel, Max lord is is setting up the recorder WHILE THE FIGHT IS GOING ON.

Second scan, Superman and Wonderwoman has made it to the sun BUT Max Lord STILL didnt record the fight or the time untillllll (drum role please) Superman is about to punch her back to earth and you see Max Lord saying in the last panel "visual acquired, begin recording". They are already at the sun and he is just starting his recording of the fight. HHHHMMMM, faster than light, yeah right.

I agree 100%. Thats why I always say, if the writer approved of the anime, it is just as cannon as the manga. Everything that happened in the anime, he helped them with it and agreed on it. Anime=Manga. Some people dont want to accept it due to their hate of DBZ.

Toriyama at no point in time endorsed the anime's canonicity, no matter what anime being discussed, if the manga was the original it takes precedence, and as Mike has always brought up, Toriyama was often in fact SURPRISED at what the anime did. Also, he had very little to do with making it.
Going by the anime, Goku and Piccolo can barely lift a car or a bus.
