Any plans for another tourny anytime soon?

Boo.

But yeah, I think it's time to declare this last tourney dead. I don't know that anyone has impending plans for a tourney, and I don't have the time to take the reigns on a new one. Eventually something will surface, but whoever starts a new one will have to be in it for the long haul and know what's what. Not that Kandy didn't, he's a cool guy and knows his sh*t, but dead tourneys suck for everyone and kill potential momentum and excitement in future tourneys because people start to assume it will die, which can be detrimental.

I'll leave it up to PG for now, he did call it first. If he is going to do his "unknowns" tourney, I'll participate, but if he was only floating the idea, I'll definately give organizing one a shot.

Though I can't speak for anybody else, personally, I'm trying really hard to think of a scenario in a tournament where there would be a need for you.

I'll let you know if I think of anything.

As a compeditor? Ok. As a judge? I have never compromised or abused my position despite sore temptation from most of you bastards. Hell, Delph recruited me for his last tournament, and it was only that Cocksucker Digi objecting that forced him to remove me.

i was just pitching an idea, if you have something in mind that will garner interest feel free.

Is it just popularity? I get the feeling that it's also lame-itude.

For instance, if Wildstorm wrote all of Spider-Man instead of Marvel, and if Wildstorm was still the indy-ish corporation that it is, Spider-Man would be a great pick as he wouldn't be popular despite being awesome.

Creeper on the other hand, is, the creeper. Lame wherever he is.

I realize it gets really subjective, but I think it's more interesting to target overlooked-due-to-lame characters rather than never-looked-at-due-to-few-appearances (or separate company) characters.

I also realize the line between those isn't exactly distinct, and that this wasn't the most clear cut way I could explain myself, but I'm still wrapping my head around the idea.

valid points all. basically, i want competitors to showcase the D-list characters, not the less known due to being from a less popular corporation or whatever. guys like big pig

"Powers

Razorback was a mutant with a talent for operating vehicles. He could operate anything from a bicycle to a spaceship. "

"The suit's helmet contained two seven-inch-long fangs which were capable of piercing human skin, and were coated in a potent neurotoxin derived from copperhead snakes. The toxin could paralyze a person almost instantly, and death would follow within 30 minutes. "

God, I had forgotten about that. I stand by my actions at the time, but I'm quick to move past incidents on KMC (partially because I've dealt with so many due to my mod position, so remembering them or holding any kind of grudge is impractical). Anyway, I hope you find yourself something to do in future tourneys.

😂

trick seems to think so too. 😄

Legion of Substitute Heroes would make for some good potential picks.

Heh. It's weird though. I have people who hate me and I'm completely unaware of it, because I unintentionally ignored a PM request/complaint/etc. or slighted/warned/banned/etc. them in the past. I can't remember a fraction of those I've dealt with in a mod capacity, so I occasionally get these rude awakenings when somebody dregs something up. Mostly I just laugh and tell them some variation on "no hard feelings, hope you're well" since there's no point prolonging what I can't even remember.

Tourneys used to turn me into a dick occasionally though. I pointedly avoided them for a while as a result, because I was upset with myself, and always make a point of staying level-headed these days in them.

iirc trick tried to assemble the worlogog with rip hunter via gallivanting through time in prep

the audacity

Don't forget using Waverider for his temporal perception.

It was a good plan, but Evangel's crappy rule set up screwed me. I mean, why make it so you can't use something you can build in prep? I get buying the powers. But I can't get credit for fabricating some crazy piece of technology in prep? No time travel, even if I can get it via prep or technology I have to build. Kandy, you're still an ******* for screwing me out of the Moebius Chair. 😛

Digi: No grudge. I don't care about that. I just don't like you. flirt

I know it's been done before and probably a bit old, especially to the vets here, but maybe a High Herald tourney would garner some attention and interaction? Kahn (where the hell is that guy anyway?) and Batdude's tourny was pretty cool. And if High Heralds alone is stale, perhaps a three character tournament with one Low, one Mid, and one High Herald as draft picks would work out?

i like your ambition, but it was a blatant piss on the rules
