Oh really? And what type would Ultimecia be?

Anti-Pokemon

I'll go with Dark.

That's weak to fighting attacks, so you know. Oh, and Bug type attacks. Better not let any mosquitoes near her, she's likely to get rape stomped.

FF doesn't go by Pokemon weaknesses. Ifrit, who's fire would affect Pokemon weak against it, wouldn't be weak against water Pokemon attacks since he's weak against Ice.

Ultimecia has no elemental weaknesses

If FF doesn't follow the rules of Pokemon weaknesses, they cannot have the rules of Pokemon strengths.

Pokemon still have the weaknesses. There are stil FF characters with certain weaknesses but they're not in this thread

Not how it works.

Yes it does. Pokemon have specific weaknesses and FF has their own weaknesses. It does work.

You can't assign types to FF attacks and not apply the same logic in reverse. If FF is going to play with types, they're going to follow the whole rules.

Fire magic is fire.

Ice magic is ice.

Dark magic is dark.

Water magic is water.

Your idea makes no sense.

Then the FF weaknesses have to be in this thread.

thats not bullet speed lol

As an objective measure, consider the impact a Nidoqueen's Body Slam does on an average Pokemon. It's a fairly significant amount, generally around 60-70 damage on one of the "high level" variants of the Pokemon shown. Nidoqueen weighs 132 pounds according to Bulbapedia. The Pokemon listed probably have around 330 HP on average at such a high level. Now lets do the math here:

330 HP/65 damage= 5.08
5.08 * 132 lb = 671 lb

So there you have it. These Pokemon listed, on average, are going to KOd by being slammed at a fairly high speed (20-30 MPH perhaps) by objects of around 670 lb of weight. Ultimecia alone can summon meteors with exponentially more mass than this, and the most powerful abilities of any of the other heroes listed dwarf this spell in terms of damage. It's pretty clear already that any of the FF characters could mop the floor with the Pokemon team without breaking a sweat. There's plenty of other anecdotal evidence to support this, including the fact that many of the bosses that the FF characters have beaten could easily squash any of the Pokemon under their foot, and that the average Pokemon has the intelligence of a bag of potatoes when not supported by a Trainer.

To be fair, I suppose that if a team of lv. 100 Pokemon fought this team of FF characters at lv. 10, they MIGHT have a chance. But considering that Cloud and company have pretty much reached the status of demigods by the ends of their respective games, this is unlikely to happen. Even if we're using the crappy, inconsistent Pokemon anime as canon (hardly reasonable in a game versus forum), it's clear that the FF team wins this battle handily.

Then the FF weaknesses have to be in this thread.

None of the FF characters in the thread have weaknesses though.

Except maybe Cloud's weakness to mind raep.

And angst.

Actually Squall has a problem with that too....

Actually both got over it. Squall got over his after his game and Cloud after AC. I don't even know why I brought this up. 😐

Would have been faster if not for a pokedex entry nullifying the feat.

By the logic in this post Tentacruel can't take a hit from Dugtrio, but can straight up tank roar of time, spacial rend, and judgement. 😬 I'm sorry but no. Gameplay mechanics are a terrible argument, and also, where did you get Nidoqueen's speed from?

The honest truth is, icicles can injure Squall very badly, and you think he can survive Ultimecia squsihing him between planetoids? Nope. Not gonna happen. Just a battle animation. Conversely, Machamp can push a mountain with a single hand. Machamp soloes, or Tyranitar soloes, whichever.

Squall never gets canonally hit by the planetoids, plus its in gameplay, so we don't know whether he'd survive. And can't Dugtrio headbutt at close to lightspeed? I seem to remember thats how fast it can pop out of its hole according to the Pokedex (though it is the pokedex so it should be taken with a grain of salt).

The pokedex is not grain-of-salt-ish. It's a canon encyclopedia on pokemanz, and as ridiculous as it can be, is 100% canon. If that's true though, my example is still valid, since a Dugtrio doesn't even hit particularly hard for a pokemon. Lemme go look.

Edit: Nope. But Diglett can dig up to 60 miles straight down. Huh.
