Yeah, I've actually had more of a 6 bad weeks, though I've been cutting down on sweets that's good. I worked out today for the first time in a while, I will try to keep that up.
I need to do some morning excersises or something, I feel like I got beaten up every morning I wake up.
Make yourself get up earlier and go for a fast-paced(as fast as you can go without overtaxing yourself) 1 mile (1.6km) walk each morning, do 1/2 mile and 1/2 back.
Doesn't seem like much, but do it everyday and the calorie-burning will add up. Eventually work yourself up to jogging and possibly longer distances, when you slim down and your heart is less stressed.
Also include your non-cardio exercise schedule. Though the most important thing for you at the moment is dropping your body-fat to a healthy level.

My losing weight isn't going too well, either. I've gained muscle and lost a tad bit of fat...keeping my body weight around 223.

Bards: try doing 2 sets of pushups and 2 sets of situps, every single morning, when you get up. It will help, alot. You can also try to have sex in the morning. "Active" sex is supposed to burn between 100-200 calories. 3500 calories is one pound of fat...so vigorous sex, ever morning, will help you lose all of your weight in about 875 days.
More power to you! I try really reeaalllyyy hard to make good 'lifestyle' choices and as a die hard food lover I've had to find ways to cope. ( not that I don't slip up. Often. 😐 ) I'll give you a few 'tricks' I've picked up along the way.
Fruit. Keep it around, replace a ton of stuff with it and it will curb your sweet cravings like nobody's business.
Epsom salt baths. Boosts your metabolism. Twice a week. It's relaxing too!
Eat smaller portions more frequently. ( I'm sure you have heard this before...) This one sucks to adjust to, but it works wonders.
Fish and rice for dinner.
If you have a 'bad day' and feel like you gobbled the whole world up, don't get down on yourself and say ' I ruined it anyway, I'll be better tomorrow. ' ( I'm terrible about this 😛 ) Instead, stop the moment you realize it. Fill yourself with greens the rest of the day.
Carrots. If you like them. Keep them around and if you think you're hungry, grab a carrot. See how many you eat before you change your mind. ( I usually get down a half then eat the rest obligatorily. )

This is a really good one too. Though I shower at night so I hate getting sweaty in the morning.
I do squats and lounges while I brush my teeth. Thank god no one see's these things 🙂
Advice to bardock's weight loss regimen
Do P90X and go to an MMA gym. do an 1800 calorie diet.
u lose weight get muscle get stronger faster energetic and become a deadly weapon since u learn how to do mma. (combo of kickboxing/muaythai with wrestling/jiujitsu)
its quite expensive ($300 for p90x & $129/month on MMA school)
but think of it as your investment to yourself and your overall vitality/health

i think its both. mindset and MA skill.
a person with lack of skill/low skill level of MA will lose against a skillful MA (assuming they have equal mindset and they both want to duke it out)
