i cant understand german language. so read on. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO GTFO OF YOUR COUCH AND JOIN MMA (become a modern day gladiator)
Im currently at around 240lbs, so do you come close to that?
We are the same age (24) but ive only gotten this heavy in the last 2 years unlike yourself.
I wanna cut to 200lbs by Christmas & i hope you well in cutting weight especially knowing that you have a girlfriend to look after.
So good luck from me
I went for a 4 hour cycle ride today including 2 massive hills, I looked cool as well wearing cycling kit and mistakenly thinking I must be like Lance Armstrong. Now apart from the fact that I can hardly walk, I lost over 2 kilos (5 lbs?) in weight for some reason, probably just fluids. But cycling is fun, and you can take it easy roll down hills and things like that.
So find a bike which will take your weight and cycle through the woods a few times a week, eat a bit less at a time, gradually cutting down and you´ll be suprised how it changes your mind, well being and weight over time.
You makin' progress, Bardock?
Today, a buddy and I went and played some rugby and then some soccer. I rolled my right ankle, but, other than that, no bumps or bruises. Was quite fun. I think that "fun" is what is important when he comes to cardio: you have to find something fun to do in order to keep up your cardio. I could tell I was out of shape as I could only run around the edge of two soccer fields before I started to get too winded to want to continue. I remember, as a wee lad, being able to run forever and not really feel the need to stop. 🙁

Yup. With a real rugby ball. There are many universities that have rugby teams, too...
I assure you, many more people play rugby than cricket, here in the US.
Glad to see you have a variety of sports on offer in the US, when I was at school all we did is play football (soccer), even in the friggin snow!!

That is a horrible song, and a pretty bad video.
Chicks hot though. Eye porno in full effect.
@ Bardock: My two cents mate. If you wanna lose weight try to eat around a 2000 calorie diet with three meals and fruit for snacks in between meals. Also what I do usually when I'm not sick was I used to run 6 miles a day (2 miles at a time) Once in the morning, once in the afternoon and once at night. You don't even have to run, if you're starting out you can walk, jog, or do an airborne shuffle (which in the Army is what they use to train soldiers in basic training, and in Airborne school to keep up a steady pace without stopping)
Good luck man.
do atkins for the mean time. all out protein. do it for short term until you reach u lose 20 lbs. then progress to 1800 cal with light exercise. then you can do the following
1) do either king castle's way 8 mile run= lots of self motivation and no money spend. (I call this your base level of fitness.)
2. or do my training. MMA (3hrs a day) and 1 hr (p90x home) LOTS OF FUN kicking other ppls arse during sparring make new friends at gym but very expensive on your bank.(gym membership)
my workout is to maintain my already superior physical fitness of the average athletic person. 😒
i dont need 3 hours of MMA training since i already learned all i need with ten yrs of various training.
i now simply maintain nothing more nothing less. could i be fitter? sure if i was competing in the olympics or doing elite lvl competition.
i used to do 6 miles a day but it got VERY VERY boring. too boring. nope still boring.
so i do mma instead. its different cardio training. because ur strength is going against another person strength.
put your 10 yrs of training to the test. goin mma gym and spar ppl.
whats the use of 10 yrs of knowledge if you dont use it?
if you do not practice the skills/discipline/knowledge, you forget it and you lose it. or atleast become rusty when you need it most
get vicodin+glucosamine for joint pain.
i am disgusted by(so called) MMA training and competition. i wouldnt spar with a piece of sh$#..
its like asking a native american from the 1600's to prove he can survive in the wilderness by making a fire for some sh@$ bag settler.
i got nothin to prove and sparring or entering a tournament isnt the measure of man's combat mindset and skills or willingness to kill or survive an actual battle.

What you're suggesting varies on the person's health and shape they're in. Someone can't just jump in and do the PX workout or MMA for that matter. And running 6 miles a day isn't boring at all go running with an iPod or a friend. There's plenty of ways to keep yourself occupied. Call out a cadence. Military workouts are designed to get a person in shape which sounds what he's looking to do. After he's in shape building muscle would be the next logical step.
i do take my i pod and i circle the university and check out the girls in short shorts..
also my i pod has 50 marine cadence songs that i got when i was back in the corps.
i turn to it when i hit the hills.. added moto to keep me goin.
my workout is really military basic stuff.. but, i was doin it long b4 i joined the marines and have bn doin it well after. it was basically the the same workouts that overlapped in all the sports i played so i just got used to doin it even now as an adult.
track, cross country, baseball, wrestlin, TKD, MCMAP...spartan runs... morning PT.
which explains why i scuffed at boot camp.. pretty physically easy. its the mental BS lack of sleep that is hard.
