Suddenly very serious Rah looks at Galder in eye "I wouldn't call my self one of Kuylens Lackies, it's much more like I'm a follower of his cause, hence your rescue!" He pauses and then with a relaxed smile "You could even say he 'showed me the light' as it were."
Rah then extends his hand to Galder "I'm sure our master would wish us to assist each other in this mission."
Actually, GK, I am waiting for Wraith or Allor. You guys are all in the same kind of timing right now. I'll give them the rest of the day then we shall see about that jump...
-
Whilst the Light Siders are on holiday I shall leave Rex and Baylin to talk all this over... pretty much until they are done! Oh, don't forget the message for Galder, though, Rah.
-
Nayler's a steady guy, Takuan- but more to the point there are about two dozen guns aimed at you.
"Well, best to take the time to be thorough about it all until the very last moment," says Saar, and you cannot help thinking he is hinting at something.
Chion tosses you the data pad, Rex (which is keted to respond to the DNA of either you or Chion)
It is a message from Kuylen.
"This one is called Toolok Rah. I trained him on Dordellus alone. He is an impressive physical specimen but lacks your instinct with a sabre; he is not unskilled in the Force but only time will tell if he has any vision- his life thus far has been mostly petty.
He will help you with Persis. Fill him in on what is going on. Tell him as much as you think is safe too; hook him in by talking of Avalar. If he does well, tell him all the rest."
-
"Oh, I disagree," says Saar. "I always think it is worthing taking your time about these things...
"Oh goody, my turn to tell the tale..."
Galder gathers Rah's attention and begins.
"Have you heard of the planet Avalar, Rah? It is a ice planet that was said to have not existed. In Sith legend, a monastery was set up by the Sith monks, who recorded everything in Sith history, including battles and Force powers. Kuylen had found the place, and we raided it, we being Kuylen, Chion, two other Dark Jedi who are off doing their own thing, Krisha (Jolanta's sister, who is dead), and me. Before we could grab everything, the Jedi stopped us. Kuylen managed to get enough of the Sith maps in the Archives before we escaped."
Galder continues, leaving out the part about Krisha destroying the Monastery and betraying them.
"What do you think this is?" Galder asks. He brings out one of the tablets that they had nabbed.
It's difficult to concentrate on hyper-accurate reflection with a wound, and the harness rope is a tiny target to hit at range (not that he is currently using it anyway).
Balek senses your fading strength. His right hand continues to volley blaster fire at you, whilst the other hand twists and another compartment slides out...
-
Dak, you put all your concentration and Force into making the jump, and sail through the air... not far enough... not far enough... your fingertips JUST catch onto a broken piece of grille on the far walkway, but your grip is slipping... and from this angle you can see two guys with blaster rifles on a platform to your right, ready to pick you off...
"They appear blank, don't they?" Galder says. "But if you put your hand to the back of it..."
Galder presses his hand to the back of it and it lights up with green texts and images appear in green. "They are ancient Sith tablets that tell about Sith powers and their history. We plan to use them once we get to our goal here."
"Now, our goal here is that we find a man named Persis," Galder says, showing Rah a hologram of him. "He has something we need called an Astrolabe, which is basically a navigational device to important Sith worlds." Galder shows him a hologram of that. "We need that thing VERY badly. Once we retrieve it, we need to steal the largest ship we can find."
Good call, Wraith, as that is his one-shot rocket launcher he just fired. You throw yourself to the window, the rocket sailing past you and exploding down the far side of the walkway. Your timing is spot on, and you land in a dark room inside, landing painfully on your bad leg.
-
This grotty bridge is grilled, Dak. They are more solid higher up.
-
"Very well," says Saar. "Which entrance is it you are at?"
