USH'S GAME EPISODE IV- 'CHASE'- DARK SIDE AREA

(Or pieces of them... 😄 )

Well, that will take a few minutes- the fighting would most likely be done by then.

-

It's "What a wonderful smell" territory, Galder. It is WASTE reclamation after all...

They are only just wide enough to admit a man, and it is pitch black (and rather sludgy) inside.

-

"They know we won;t use the switch until the last moment," says Saar, "because if we DO use it, we are dead, we have nothing left to stop them killing us. So their plan will be to surprise as AT the last moment and rescue her or kill us before we have time to hit the switch.

"Don't worry, I am sure you will think of something. After all, you will have to say SOMETHING to Kuylen when you explain why you jeopardised my whole operation by smashing down that door."

(this is a rather childish solution..but i can't think of something better at this late hour)
"how about if i (or you) get into the sarcophagus. That way..when he comes near it, we'd have the element of surprise. You'd still be near it with the switch. Unfortunatley i don't have my saber...we'd have to figure a way to imobilise nayler (shivers..or something)"

(better said at third person. Saar stays in the coffin because he has the saber...if he's not willing to give it to me. Meanwhile, i stay with him holding the switch and doing the chit-chat. When nayler kills me (no wait...i want to be inside😛) saar jumps out with the saber.)

"Rah, you can go first. Take one of my glowrods, you'll need a light," Galder says with a grin. "I'm sure you'll enjoy it..."

(Could we cut through the bottom of the pipe? Would it lead anywhere?)

"Hmm!" Takes the glowrod and climbs in. Swallowing hard to keep down a street pizza Rah shouts back "Come on in its lovely"
Holding the glowrod up Rah continues making his way down.

Yes, Galder, it would lead into that dense maze of pipes and then you would be back to where you started.

The pipe drops down sharply ahead- could be a long fall.

-

"Takuan, we can't FIGHT them," says Saar. "Our only hope is to delay them."

"delay them for what?...are reinforcements coming?"
(i'll think about something)

So I'm just travelling back to the ambush site, right?

"Rah, feel for any rungs that you could use to climb down," Galder calls out. "I'll come in when you go down."

Rah progresses carefully, looks over the edge for anything to climb down with. He then picks up a stone or something and drops it over counting till he hears it hit the bottom and then proceeds down. "I'm going down" he shouts back to Galder.

Galder starts to clamber into the piping. "What a wonderful smell you've discovered..." Galder mutters. "Come on Rura. If there is no ladder we'll use my synthrope dispenser."

Ladder- nope, this isn't designed for this use.

That piece of gumf takes ten seconds to hit bottom, Rah...

-

If that is indeed your plan, Dak, then yes- what do you plan to do once you reach the point you were talking to Ascar?

-

Trokair's men are coming, Takuan.

"we have to bluff...either way. We could say that the switch isn not within our reach but that it is connected to our heart rates. if they stop for even a second the switch triggers.."

(i'm kin of sleepy...but i doubt that makes sense....i'll probably have to think of something else

Find a trace to Wraith or Allor. Sniff 'em out or something like that.

(Made sense to me, Dexx...)

(Is it possible that I could set up something with my synthrope dispenser? Rope ourselves down?)

Wraith keeps deflecting with his lightsabers. Then he puts one away and brings out his pistol, which he fires at the men when he has a good opportunity.

With a fast movement, you gun down the man with his own pistol, Wraith- but it is getting a little 'Butch Cassidy anf the Sundance Kid'out here with all the gunfire coming your way!

Dak- do you mind waiting until Wraith is done and you two can meet up?

-

"Then they will kill us," says Saar. "If they think they CAN'T rescue Latara then they have nothing to lose. Our entire strategy was to make them think they COULD but make it seem too hard to try."

There is another great noise from the door to Saar's office.

"Well," says Saar, "I am going to head for the roof."

-

You may be able to try and rig up something, Galder, though fixing it to the top will be VERY hard, and neither of you are the sort of template (Fallen or Executor) that is best at putting this kind of thing together.

"how about having to improvise something like a FALSE switch. That way, we'd both have something in our hands...it would be twice as difficult to choose the right one and to plan this surprise at the last moment..."

Rah turns back to Galder "I estimate thats it's 30-40 metres down..." he pauses looking around "With nothing to climb with..." Still looking round. "Haa, how about, we cut 2 holes in the roof of this pipe and tie your synthrope through them. It'll be crude but it should do the trick!"
With that Rah lights one half of his sabre and proceeds to cut 2 holes in the top of the pipe, 20cm diameter and 30cm apart. If needed he will lift Galder up to do it if the pipe is very high.

(Out of curiosity what is the diameter of this pipe we're in?)

I'll wait, Ush.
