The pipe is JUST wide enough to admit you! It will take a little while for your good plan to work (as the rope will burn for quite a while after that cut is made)- but frankly, the Jedi are NOWHERE, so time has become less of a problem for you.
That being the case, you can head down to the bottom of the pipe, underneath the tangle you saw earlier...

Okidokey, Dak. Allor was talking to me about posting again last night so with any luck she can help finish off that situation sooner.
-
"Feel free if you want to build one..." says Saar, who is clambering up the decorations on the walls.
Rah and Galder, beneath the pipe network you seem to be in the deep, cramped bowels of the smuggler's complex, gloomy and ill-kept and with barely enough room to stand up.
A voice echoes deeply all around you.
"I have been waiting for you," says Persis, and he laughs, long and hard.
-
The room you are in right now is the topmost of the citadel, Takuan, large and almost entirely empty except for the empty sarcophogus in the middle. Saar has his switch with him, and is humming to himself as het starts work on cutting through the ceiling.
(well i DO need him somehow for this to work)
"saar....once you're up there....cut a whole right above the sarcophagus. I want you to stand there holding the swith..for them to see it. I'll stand near the sarcophagus. down here..under you. It will be harder for them to reach you and they know that if they harm me..you have the switch. It might delay them."
(bloody hell...he's not gonna help me, is he......i don't assume i can follow him through that whole and get our dar side asses out of here, no?)
Hmm... no sign of Persis... but you can see the speaker he is talking through up in the corner of the cramped room.
"You will never have the Astrolabe!" says Persis. "I see you walked into my trap already... can you feel your cells being eaten away, Galder? You were fools to oppose me!"
-
Good plan, Wraith. The gunmen (who were not actually HIRED by Ascar, he just led you to them) scramble to get off the walkway when they see what you are doing, but two fall to their deaths below and the others are scattered and vulnerable.
-
"I was more thinking of getting out of here, actually..." says Saar.
No he's not going to help you; his self-preservation instinct (which, in Saar, is INCREDIBLY strong) has kicked in. You could follow him out if you wished, yes. That IS the final abandonment of any chance of winning this scenario but frankly I would not blame you.
[Sorry for the delay, guys, a few issues getting in my way right now. And I may be away for a few days, but if I am, after that normal service (and more!) will be resumed.]

The men scream as they fall to their death, Wraith. This battle is over; the others are running.
-
Sensing Persis is tricky- he is a Dark Sider like you, hard to catch if he does not want to be caught.
Persis laughs long and hard again
"I am no coward!" he says. "You skulking in numbers thoigh... come and face me, one at a time! If you dare!"
You basically have north or south, Galder; tricky to choose between the two.

Rex is right, Dexx. Without the time to really probe the future, the best jmpression you get is that they are going to come in here and kill you.
