But I def remember Danny didn't need his Iron Fist to handle him...
Yeah, power man and iron fist #2 (2015)
I just double checked it was three kicks what we saw. Perhaps more happened off panel, but no iron fist

The system is fine. There don't need to be changes or explanations. There especially doesn't need to be anymore offerings of excuses or justifications. We all know what happened. Nobody's kidding themselves. crackers Great. A comic character that's made over 6000 appearances actually once beat a martial arts master that utterly underestimated him. *applause*That victory and his foray into mythology actually went into my consideration of voting for him to move up to the third tier. But you know what Superman's 1000-year foray into myth actually did? Nothing more than simply putting him on par with Any. Average. Asgardian/Olympian. Warrior. *applause*
Followed this from Abhi posting in the Superman vs Herc thread, felt compulsion to respond:
How many showings has Wolverine had? How great is his skill level relative to The Cat or Lady Shiva?
That's not to argue against Logan's skill level, but my point is quantity usually means a shite ton of bad story telling. I mean, Orion only had that one 25 issue solo and he had better feats then Hulk had in a bazillion issues, niche characters with limited showings vs guaranteed cash cow results in more pressure to make the niche characters stand out somehow.
As opposed to the trope of figuring out how to have mainstream A lister be challenged over decades of comics. It's an entirely different kind of creative thinking.
See Worf Effect, this would apply to Superman.
