So, were putting up a guy who isn't even the strongest in his universe. Up against an Apex fighter from an already powerful universe and some are expecting something less than rape?
I'll be generous for a second and compare Ryu's feats from his best version to the Base version of Megaman [Not even X] just to prove my point.
Ryu can brace a large boulder for an undisclosed amount of time; Let's say it's an hour for arguments sake.
Megaman braces Wileys entire castle on his back from the basement.
Ryu at his peak has defeated 10,000 plus opponents
Megaman readily defeats droves of heavily armored war machines
Ryu's "Hadouken" hits with the force of a nice solid kick from Ryu
Megamans punch can knock down a five story "Mecha-Saurus"
Etc.
Notice how, I even didn't bother to even mention "X" a much stronger version of Megaman. Simply because I saw the futility of it. Rightfully so.

Ryu is god tier because he's Ryu. He once punched Sagat so hard he got a scar on his chest, and Sagat is top tier in every game.

The weak comic ones are probably high steet/low meat. Canon might be a mid meta, (high meta on some very good showings), then you have the alpha movie blowing up large buildings with ease and then there's some Chinese manga stuff where he rips through dimensions.

No, Megaman is robot designed to look like a child. He's stronger, faster, and more powerful than Ryu thanks to his weapons and abilities, which are what give him the win.
