Originally posted by BloodRainPut more logically, the canon version of Classic Mega Man beats the canon version of Ryu due to Mega Man's abilities being greater than Ryu's abilities nearly across the board (Ryu obviously has an edge in HtH technique).
So basically Ryu being stronger is because Megaman uses his robot body and enhancements to make him lift things millions times the weight of what Ryu has done, making Megaman's strength feat null?
Think we've found the limit of your logic.

Go to the comic versus forum, that's all that matters over there. 🙂
Originally posted by Tha C-MasterI gotcha. Yeah, I can see that trend even among some of the more skilled professional writers. Said writers usually have no practical experience with HtH combat; they simply believe that martial arts are magical, and that a person with enough training can beat anything. Its a ridiculous notion. You put a martial artist with 15 years of training against a male gorilla and that MA is going to get curb-stomped regardless of how much he/she knows.
Nono, I just meant that in the Comic versus a person with more h2h skill automatically seems to win for some reason. I jest you not.
HtH has its limits.
Of course if they have powers because of their MA (i.e Iron Fist and Akuma) that is different, but people like Cap and DD, not the same. The fanboys over there try to amp them to someone like Spider-Man when he isn't holding back, which is silly. I made that point in 05'. An MA isn't beating a serious Polar Bear, no matter how skilled he is (besides absolute miracles).
Originally posted by MooCowofJusticeYea and those are comic humans, a polar bear isn't Spider-Man either. Though technically Cap is the pinnacle of human ability and every way and wears armor. DD is peak human as well.
Cap could take a Polar Bear. But he isn't just an MAer so that isn't really a fair point for me to make. And I could see DareDevil surviving, but I doubt he could win. Now I'm just being nit picky.
Ryu is physically outclassed in every way.
And about this true warrior business; the true warrior puts others before himself or herself. Ryu primarily fights to better himself. Mega Man fights to protect others. Ryu's motivation is self-centered. Mega Man's motivation is selfless.
Therefore, Mega Man's motivations for combat are purer than Ryu's reason for fighting. In the end, Mega Man will always have a reason to fight harder than Ryu.
