You were just debating from the only position you could. 🙂

It doesn't matter whats more impressive: Its whats more effective that counts... HP magic might be more visually flarey, but this wasn't a oil painting competition.

Mhm, that's what I thought.

Bock bock bock...........Here, chickey....

That you were ignorant? Good then we are in agreement.

LOL Says you: The grown man who shits himself and cries when his beloved wizards're massacred repeatedly and undeniably. 🙂

Nah. The Jedi are never shown harnessing the force the way you say you WANT them to.

HP magic screen feats>>>>>>>>>>>screen feats for Force push, pull, lightning, choke, grip, yada yada yada.

No? Prove it.

Ummm there is proof all the way through SW, and in all my posts, and the posts of everyone here, HPfan and SW fan alike.

You are the one making the outrageous claim, and thusly YOU shall provide proof.

O.K, like I said in the other thread, just my opinion, but I see it like this. If you were to put Yoda and Dumbledore in a steel cage and ask them to kill each other (using only their Magic/Force-based powers/ no lightsaber duel), Dumbledore would use his fire spell to char grill Yoda. Yoda has no defense whatsoever to counter this attack. Nothing he has done in any of the 6 Star Wars films says he can defend himself from this. Hell, Dumbledore could light the ring on fire and then appartate away, since Wizards have shown the ability to do this at will

Like I said in the other thread, the Force probably is the stronger power source, but as the old saying goes, "a tool is only as strong as the man who wields it". If just comparing the power levels of the sum total of the energy sources, the Force would come out stronger, but, as far as I've seen in the 6 Star Wars films, they can not utilize this massive power to the level they need to replicate the feats the Wizards have produced in their respective films. Yes, Yoda can use telekinesis, and sense events not in his immediate presence, but how can that compare to a wizard who can conjure matter out of thin air and also transmute it, and teleport at will, both of which without much effort.

So, again, Nah. The Jedi are never shown harnessing the force the way you say you WANT them to.

OMG we've all proved it numerous times.

Hell even YOUR posts unwittingly prove it most of the time..!!

HP magic >>>>>>>>>The force:

1. The Wizards have instant regen. How, you ask? Phoenix tears. Fawkes the Phoenix. With a half hour prep, the wizards have more than enough time to harvest enough of Fawkes' tears and each have a vial on them. Fawkes produces tears at will. When Harry was bitten by the Basilisk, Fawkes instantly shedded tears on the wound. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

2. Hocruxes: With a half hour prep, Voldemort can employ his seven Hocruxes. He can even ensure that the other Wizards do the same. 20 Wizards, 7 Hocruxes each. That makes 84 Wizards. And yes, I can use this here. In the OP, "morals are off." Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

3. Vanishing spells: The Wizards can vanish things. One second it's there, the next, gone. Name a Force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

4. Transfiguration: The wizards can change the Jedi into cockroaches in the blink of an eye. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

5. Apparition: The Wizards can teleport anywhere they want, anytime they want, instantly. They can even fly. Name a force power that does this. On yeah, there isn't one.

6. Confundus: The wizards can be thousands of feet away, wandless, not even having eye contact with the Jedi, and whisper this word. The Jedi will turn into a buncha babbling babboons. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

7. Immobulus: The wizards can freeze all 20 Jedi at once. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

8. Arresto Momentum: Same as above, except this only slows the Jedi way down, almost to a standstill. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

9. Time turner: Wizards can time travel. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

10. Boggarts: Boggarts will, at the very least provide a split second distraction that will leave the Jedi wide open for attack. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

11. Hall of Prophecies: Yeah, this trumps Jedi foresight in every possible way.

12. Legilimency: See, Legilimens does not rely on the victim being weak minded. It works every time, unless the victim knows Occlumency. Legilimency>>>>>>Jedi mind trick.

13. Crucio: Does basically the same thing as force lightning.

14. Expelliarmus: Besides disarming the victim, it does he same thing as force push.

15. Summoning spells: Does the same as force pull.

16. Imperio: "Causes the victim of the curse to obey the spoken/unspoken commands of the caster." Pretty simple, this makes the Jedi puppets, and the wizards the puppet masters. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

17. Anapneo: Counters force choke. "Clears the target's airway, if blocked." If a wizard is being force choked, another simply casts Anapneo. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

18. Protego: Shields wizards against physical attacks. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

19. Sectumsempra: Violently wounds the target; described as being as though the subject had been "slashed by a sword". The wizards can cast this from hundreds of feet away. Sectumsepra>>>>>>>>>>Lightsaber.

20. Avada Kedavra: One hit kill, can be cast from hundreds of feet away. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

21. Fiendfyre: Yeah, pretty simple. Big ass wall of fire that the Jedi cannot control nor extinuguish. It will seek them out and roast them. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

22. Impedimenta: Description: This powerful spell is capable of tripping, freezing, binding, knocking back and generally impeding the target's progress towards the caster.

23. Incarcerous: Binds the victim in rope. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

24. Levicorpus: The victim is dangled upside-down by one of his/her ankles.

25. Oppugno: Causes conjured objects to attack. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

26. Petrificus Totalus: Full body bind curse.

27. Reducto: Enables the caster to explode solid objects. Name a force power that does this. Oh yeah, there isn't one.

28. Stupefy: Puts the victim in an unconscious state.

29. Wingardium Leviosa: Levitates objects.

30. Hocruxes: Already explained this.

Gonna break it down for you one more time, one Force power at a time.

FORCE CHOKE

Takes a while to kill. Never, not ever, is Force Choke seen crushing vertebrae or windpipes. In the 15-20 seconds it takes to kill a wizard, the wizard can either cast a non verbal spell, or simply apparate away. Not to mention that while Force choking, the Force user can target only one wizard at a time. They'll be wide open for a Death spell, hit by fiendfyre, transfigured into a goblet, shrunk down to action figure size, vanished.........You get the idea.

FORCE PUSH

Wizard simply apparates away. Force push only comes in handy if the wizards decide to get in close, and they won't need to get close. They have much more powerful spells with WAY longer range.

FORCE PULL

Lulz infinity. Apparition.

FORCE CRUSH

By the time this is employed, twenty Death spells will have hit Vader. Useless.

FORCE LIGHTNING

Lulz infinity +1. Every person hit by Force lightning in the SW movies was just standing there like a deer in headlights. Sith aren't tracking half apparating wizards who fly around like 200 mph hummingbirds. Nor is it gonna hit a wizard who has apparated thousands of feet away.

BATTLE PRECOG

Yes, Precog can be overwhelmed.

The wizards employ thousands of bewitched bludgers and have them attack the Jedi all at once.

So what we now have is this: The Jedi will be dealing with fiendfyre, death spells, vanishing spells, apparating wizards, thousands of bludgers attacking them, a big ass fire breathing basilisk with a Medusa stare, not to mention Jedi fighting Jedi after they are Imperio'd. Not to mention the dozens of other spells the wizard have.

So you see, no matter how well precog is working, no matter what the Jedi foresee, they won't be able to deal with it all, much less form an offensive.

Everything has been covered. Nothing has been missed. The wizards are too powerful.

Only in your head.

And even there, you have nothing. 🙂

haermm /thread, wizards win.

yeah, looks like SW is going to come out on top here.

Here we go again. How many force users were ever shown onscreen mastering the force even close to what you are implying?

Most of them.

See, its not so much 'The user' as 'The user + living force.' and if youre a side basically trying to kill all the forces people, stands to reason its gonna be in quite "the mood" to help em.

No, dude, not a one of them. None.

I was going to bother to respond of ^ that, but I've lost my steroids plucky enthusiasm. So I'll just re-quote this:

Oh my, lookit all the powers!!! The FAR MORE POWERFUL spells!!!!

So, do the Jedi stand a chance at defeating the Wizards here? Let's ask Lord Vader:

YouTube video

So I've been peeping on the Harry Potter wiki, and I see a discrepancy. Fiendfyre is never actually identified in the movies. Only a bunch of fiery attacks that differ in appearance. No one is ever actually seen using Fiendyre. Not until Part II shows us Crabbe doing it.
