So, according to MVF rules, a combatant can use only what they are shown using onscreen.
This means Luke cannot use force push.
Dumbledore cannot half apparate.
Harry cannot cast oppugno.
Get it? Makes it way simpler.

I think you mean Yoda Vs Xavier; I supported Xavier. I honestly don't recall supporting Dumbledore in a Yoda fight.
Edit: Had a recall, I do somewhat remember it now, you posted some link to "movie wizards", where it said Dumbledore was "godlike" and could do most anything he wanted, I agreed that if that were true, then Yoda is doomed, as he's powerful, but not "godlike".
But Dumbleodre isn't godlike and Yoda with his precog would sense an attack and respond to it first, like he did on Kashyyyk in ROTS.

The Golden rule is bullshit and should be changed. These threads are about which character would win a fight, by only allowing on screen facts, rather than implied ability, you are gimping powerful beings who played roles in slow, action-less movies. That's hardly the spirit of these forums, at least it shouldn't be.
Although you all seem to have adapted to it and view the threads as an exercise in debate...whoever gets the most points wins...instead of working together to arrive at a sound conclusion as it should be. It's silly.

Dude where did I participate in the last 10 months? I only talk to RJ when he asks me on MSN about my opinion. Seriously, in the last year I maybe mentioned three times who I think would win in a thread and I hardly followed it up. So no, I don't participate, and I didn't even say that arguing is wrong, if done constructively, so don't be so aggressive, it's obvious that people here are stuck at whatever conclusion they had when entering a thread for the first time and that they'd use any technicality to be "right". You accusing me of the same, is stupid and wrong.

You are way more aggressive and insulting. I am just stating a fact that has been true here for a while and that would be nice if it changed. I wasn't even singling anyone out, I was just saying what is plain to see for anyone, that these vs. threads devolve into something more akin to a fight than a constructive discussion.

Okay, it is obvious that you have not understood what I said. I didn't say that taking the discussion serious was wrong, I said that getting entrenched in groups and using every silly technicality one can fight to be right in the thread is wrong and should be stopped. I also didn't say that I don't do that, although I don't, I have in the past I wouldn't deny it, I haven't done it for a long time though. I further said that I think the "Goldern Rule" furthers that kind of behaviour. And since I never participate in the way that I called out I am obviously not a hypocrite. If I had said what you think I said, maybe, but I didn't.

So, who do you think would win in this case? And more importantly according to RJ, how do you think the force relates to HP magic in power? I had that discussion with him yesterday, we both agree that HP magic on the whole is more powerful. I said, however, and he seemed to disagree, that the force has it's advantages in certain situation over HP magic, I was mostly talking about the speed with which it can be used and the precog and speed advantages Jedi seem to have. What's your take?
