haven't been following the thread, and I doubt I'll post again, just throwing this out there. Lightning f***s Link up when he's hit by it, it puts him on the ground.

example would be chus and the f***ed looking jellyfish things in Jabu Jabu's Belly( don't remember their names, and don't feel like using google to find it)

The part that I find interesting is that it even hurts u when u hit them with your sword, u don't have to be hit by them. So basically what I'm getting at, and I'm just assuming your using OoT Link's fight with Gannondorf at the end of the game, is that yes, he does react to those attacks, and deflects them with his sword, but I don't really see how thats saying that he reacted to lightning. Even though it was shown when he was charging it, I'd say it'd be more of a charged Dark/evil attack since the Master sword can't deflect electricity, just evil

I really should be resting, but I'm an addict and had to check this thread.

Would like to point out in response:
-The example you gave is of Link as a child, with neither the ToC from which he draws his power or the master sword. The Kokiri sword =/= master sword.
-Ganon's attack is clearly electrical and crackles and shit when it hits you, the master sword can deflect lightning.

Like behaviour, looks, way it works and the sparks on it. I saw that scene, the boy was hit [which doesnt show reactions] by a flash of light. [unknown really] Not sure if I asked you but how do you explain Link and Zelda (her body) slashing at the speed needed to reflect lightning like that?

Could of been worse. You could of got really wasted and drank it from the tap.. >_>

Looks a lot like Zeus' oO
-It's a fictional game, and both characters are amped by triforce pieces. Zelda's body is amped by the ToP, when Ganon enters it and controls her, and he's established as half of the lightning tennis team in Zelda, Link's amped by the ToC.

To your final point, I think I would have offed myself. haermm

What about the water temple? I clearly remember getting shocked as an adult, but at the time I wasn't thinking about the enemies in the water temple that can do it too. Of course, the hookshot is a lot easier to use on them because u don't get shocked, but yeah... if u hit the with your sword, u get electrocuted.

So the sword can deflect lightning attacks from Gannondorf, but not the weaker enemies in the water temple? That doesn't make sense.... there must be something more to Gannondorf's attacks than just electricity, like idk, something dark/evil?

I don't even know why electricity is being argued at this point, 66 pages is a little too much to read on just to see where this thread is going so im out now, I'll let u guys take it from here. Even if I did catch up on it, I doubt I'd take part in it anyways.... don't know too much about the LoK series to have a strong argument. I did beat Defiance, actually it's the only one I ever played, but it's been ages so I don't remember much about it, but personally, I think Link and Gannon would raepstomp them. 😛

Also, on added note, this is supposed to be TP Link and Gannon isn't it? Why are you guys using OoT?

Citing examples for consistency's sake, also, I can't recall ever being shocked in the water temple. 😐 Not that it'd really be relevant because we're discussing a reaction feat, and what you're describing it at best a gameplay inconsistency since we know the mastersword deflects electricity in canon.

Also, balls of concentrated evil? Evidence? 😐 No assumptions, mah boy. We've got piles of evidence Ganon shoots lightning.

I agree Link and Ganon rapestomp LoK.

There's enemies that do it in there trust me... I told u I didn't know why electricity was being used, I was just saying that the mastersword doesn't deflect it on other enemies, like in the water temple for example. So it doesn't make sense that it can deflect electricity because you clearly get shocked if u hit them in the water temple.

Not really evidence to support it except visual. Note that I did say Gannondorf can shoot lightning, because its shown when he's charging the attack, and again if u miss and it hits you. I never denied that. I just think there's something more to his attacks than that. I don't recall any electricity ever being black/dark purple.... idk it's been awhile since I've played it, I don't remember the color. It just looks more like dark magic than electricity to me, and makes more sense since he's.... well.... evil, and can use dark magic

👆

Also, when u fight Gannon do you take the noob way out when he's charging the big attack, and just hit him with a light arrow b4 he throws it for a free shot? Or are u a man about it like me, and knock them all back with a spin attack? 😄

Quickspin all the way.

lol... we're cool 😎

For the record, the lightning he throws is yellow, and as I said, enemies in the water temple would just be a gameplay inconsistency since we see the sword actively deflecting electricity in the canon fight between Ganon and Link.

Sidenote, can't wait for the 3DS edition of OoT.

I don't remember them being yellow, but ok I'll buy it... too lazy to check. Couldn't they both be written off as that considering that they both happen in gameplay?

Didn't know they were making it, but thanks.... I'm definitely getting it. They improve the graphics any, or add new sidequests?

Nah, because the Ganon fight is a canon instance. The game cannot be beaten without Link deflecting his electricity.

also

found a screen shot, and Link looks A LOT better in the remake. Can't wait for it, it's been awhile since I've played OoT 😱

I cant wait for OoT threads to start coming back. TP is getting boring. There's not that much to work with.

You don't do anything anyway.

Stingers
When Link is hit by a Stinger, an electric shock is given to Link, making him fall back, and scream.

lol.... thanks 😄

OoT is by far my favorite... Majora was good too because it brought the same Link back, but the 3 days concept f***ed with me hard when I was younger. It took me awhile to get used to it, but I'm a beast at it now.

"Since the Stinger is so wary of its enemy, it usually stays a long range from its opponent, and thus can only be easily killed with items such as the Hookshot, Boomerang, and Fairy Slingshot. However, it is possible to kill stingers with a jump attack when they are in shallow water."

From the Stinger article, you can kill them with your sword. 🙂

lol I caught that, and yes it's true, but that's only when they are in shallow water. When they're in the water they aren't electric, it's only when they come out and fly around you. If you try to hit it in the air, your getting shocked.🙂

Don't defend Dunsparce. He doesn't actually do anything.

lol.... Wasn't really defending him. I responded on two out of 3, yours wasn't directed at me, but I figured I'd reply anyway. Thats just what I thought of first. Don't feel bad I've been doing that to a lot of ppl now since I've found it. It's my status on myspace 😛

no but seriously..... ┌∩┐( ◕_◕ )┌∩┐
