I know that. But is that it? Haven't played the game for lack of owning it. 🙁

lol only reason I'm asking is cause you said he pulled a Light Yagami move, even though that is actually more similar to what Sephiroth did in FF 7.

I was 9... 🙁 He tricked me, OKAY!

No! It was not this kid who's power he underestimated, it was the power of the Triforce of Courage!

Fact. Direct quote.

Either way he still made a major boo boo. He also made the same mistake against the mages and it was luck the triforce backed him up anyways according to the text.

Actually he wasn't defeated by the mages. And the only reason he was ever captured was because in TP he is blind.

There there, it's alright. Look on the bright side! Link beat him and then got cheated out of the victory sex. 🙂

He also understimated the power of the Master Sword. "An impressive-looking blade, but nothing more." - Ganondorf

That actually makes me think this is a brand new zelda since how could he be that ignorant to downplay the blade, right?

Anyways, it kind of proves my point if he's too ignorant to realize how badass the master sword is he's not as intelligent in this one as you think.

This is another chink in the timeline debate, unfortunately. The only way he wouldn't know about the Master Sword is if it was his first encounter.

This is another reason why I wasn't impressed at all with this ganondorf's intelligence.

Play OoT. I beg you. Ganodorf will redeem himself.
Also, Young Link has the biggest nuts ever. Kid has guts.

I am excited about this game. Today I went running around to set up online play and got a monster 50 foot cord to hook up the internet to the wii only to find out you need an adapter which I almost didn't find until I hit up the last local gamestop in the area.

The only thing that will suck is the graphics but I asked this different guy at gamestop again, how are zelda's set up? He said alternate realities and I asked which was the best zelda and he said without a doubt ocarina of time.

The man was smart. Also, you might find that OoT's graphics are surprisingly decent for being 12 years old.

Ganondorf's form was that giant head and when he changed he was able to be defeated in sword combat.

Yes, and he can still do that. Link is extremely strong and skilled. Are you saying he's weak because he lost?

Having your heart ripped out is far more impressive than surviving just because the triforce of power backed you up. It failed him the next time he needed it to work anyways.

Kain had vampire powers backing him up, so why doesn't Ganondorf's count? The Master Sword is designed to counter Ganondorf, and it did. I doubt Kain would have survived without his vampirism.

Link has his plot devices to counter Ganondorf's but to underestimate Link in the manner he did is unforgivable in terms of intelligence.

That doesn't mean he's stupid. Link was some kid from a backwater village, and Ganondorf didn't know anything about him.

Yes, he is but in this game he was defeated both times due to underestimating his opponents, the mages and Link.

The thing with the Sages was in the past. Ganondorf was manipulating everything behind the scenes, and we didn't even know he was there until the Sages told us. He was the one directing Zant, afetr all.

Good. But I bet every single poster in here who sides with either game probably if you asked them likes the winner more in this thread. I always loved Kain. Guy was a complete badass and I hunger for more Kain and more story.

My two favorite series are lok and gow with this type of game. I do have nostalgia for zelda though and really think Ganondorf's cool.

Alternate universes is not a plausible theory. The connections between games override this. As does Miyamoto stating that there is a timeline.

Well, we knew, we just didn't know, you know? 😛

We knew, because he's always behind the scenes, but Link and Midna didn't, because he was behind the scenes.

Lol.

I am saying Link didn't show us any uber strength feats and still killed him with a sword. Kain has shown himself to be smarter, faster, stronger, and over 1,000's of years more experience than Link.

Both are great feats but the same thing failed him later on so to me it's not always likely he survives and in this thread he can't just keep coming back.

Yes, which means ganondrof was completely ignorant about who he faced which shows me he's some pompous horse riding monarch who isn't anywhere near as calculating as Kain who knows every little angle and outplays everyone in the end.

Yes, after he got beaten before by underestimating his opponent he did so again showing me he didn't learn from his mistakes and this is a character flaw.

Have a link? Why does ganondorf seem completely clueless about the master sword here and Link?
