the Concept trailer showed it would be grounded in reality... yet those shotguns (wtf were those? gravity guns?) were a lil' far fetched for my liking...

Guess I was expecting something different... not bad though, just not what I thought 😬

They didn't make it 'realistic', they just replaced magic with sci fi.

Yeah, pretty much my sentiments on the subject. Of course, when you got guys like Sektor (which I believe I saw in the Legacy debut trailer), it's pretty much impossible to have everything as seemingly realistic as the original Rebirth trailer. If they had succeeded in having Rebirth become a full-blown movie instead of a mini-series though, I think they would've stayed with that same formula instead of going more sci-fi, but that's just me.

Matt Mullins has also been said to be reprising his role as Cage for this series, so perhaps Johnny's death in the Rebirth trailer got retconned. If so, that is somethin' I would at least consider a bright side. And the costume design they showed for Scorpion lived up to my expectations, more or less, so that's good too.

lol Yeah.

I think so. The bald appearance and having some markings on the face is enough to imply that it's Quan Chi, at least, though the voice doesn't sound as deep as what I'm used to hearing from the character, but that's only a first impression.

As far as I know the entire concept has been redone, so I don't expect the Baraka and Reptile from Rebirth, but something closer to the games...

Shame really, Rebirth was such a cool concept... I hope the following episodes get better, so I won't miss the idea so much

meh, good to see they have a cool concept for Avatars, but I just can't stand the little freaks, so I won't be missing much, I take Kratos over that

What's not to be able to stand about them? 😛 They're cooler than the little Mii avatars (on the Wii) ever were at least, even if they're basically a ripoff of them in concept.

In fact, I think I actually prefer this 360 King of the Hill mode over the idea of them shoehorning Master Chief or someone into the game, so I'm satisfied. MK9's exclusives are like equally beneficial to both console owners, the way I see it now.

I just saw the 1st episode of the net series. These guys really know what they're doing.

Since when is King of the Hill XBox360 Exclusive >__>? Pretty sure the dude said 'PS3 avatars'. The only thing the XBox360 allows is the usage of 'Live Avatars'...guessing that's the player's actual Avatar on XBL.

That what they said? Didn't bother to really watch the whole thing, as I was mainly going by what SDJ said, which implied that a part of the game mode (not the whole game mode itself) was 360 exclusive with the avatar stuff, or somethin' like that. If I misunderstood, then my bad.

Though yeah, technically, that whole XBL avatar usage is exclusive to the 360, but it isn't really noteworthy.

Heh. In any case, when I ever manage to get a job again and can afford a PS3, I can see MK9 at least being one of the *only* things that I get both versions of, in all fairness (as opposed to MKvsDC, the Capcom games, and such), as well as some of the exclusives whose names are not Killzone.

So eh, what do y'all think the first thing you do on MK9 is gonna be? mmm I'm one of those people who familiarizes themself with the game first and unlocks as much stuff as they can before going to play versus online/competitively. Never understood those who tend to do the opposite, personally. That said, the konquest/story mode and krypt will be a first priority.
