Mortal Kombat 9

Duck whenever Kahn's throwing his little green arrows, and if he's throwing his hammer, jump or teleport out of the way, because you can't duck under that. When your meter's full, wait until he taunts, and teleport behind him & do your x-ray on him, then rinse and repeat.

Once I did that, I kinda found him even easier than when you had to fight him as Liu Kang.

Speaking of Kahn, am I the only one who finds it weird how when you lose to him in the arcade ladder, he has some random girl slave/whore crawling to his feet?

I hadn't played through Story Mode yet so I'm not sure how Raiden is with him.

But I have beaten so far in the Ladder Mode with Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero.

Does anybody know if NRS takes requests for DLC characters?

nop you are not the only one and whats more wierd is the fact while she is crawling on his feet she kinda looks bored to death

He's a pimp. What do you expect? 😂

Started with the characters at the top of the roster eh? That's kinda what I did, and then worked my way down the list, in a random order. Of course, you'll need to beat the story anyway to unlock Cyber Sub-zero and Quan Chi. Without them you can't get full credit for doing certain things with everyone.

Don't know, but that's a good question. I do recall sometime back prior to the game's release though that Ed Boon was asking on twitter who fans wanted to have as DLC, and I guess that's what caused Kenshi to become as such. The lady in red was most likely his own doing, but I still think there's bound to at least be more sometime in the future.

Yeah, or she's just like tired. lol

Looks a lot like Sonya.

They were my top favorites anyway.

Yeah, I'll try Story Mode eventually. Maybe tonight.

Well some people have told me that he does take requests. I was just wondering if he would take requests for a guest character for the 360 version.

It's like 18 chapters or something, so you may not get it done in one sitting unless you're like me. Almost three times longer as MKvsDC's story, and equally better.

Ah, I see. So is that why Cyber Sub-zero appears twice on the bottom of the roster for me, because it's a DLC slot waiting to be filled?

This question goes out to everyone. Who's your favorite character to play with? Mine is easily Johnny Cage. I love his fluidity when it comes to stringing together combos. Plus I'd say he's one of, if not, the fastest character in the game from what I can tell (at least in terms of punches and kicks).

From what I played the other night, I enjoyed Jade the most. That is strange since I've never really been a fan of her in the past. My typical favorites are Sub-Zero and Johnny Cage with LiuKang/Mileena/Kitana being tertiary characters I use but not as frequently. I need more play time though. They're all so fun.

I agree about Johnny being fast. I haven't looked at the frame data yet, but I found a lot of his stuff was quite spammable up close; however, that could be due to lack of practice with the game. Like I said, I haven't seen the frame data.

Same for me, and agreed. I was also amazed, though, at how many of his moves I remembered from older MK games once I got started.

Plus, his scenes in story mode are just plain awesome.

Cage for pretty much the reasons you said, Shang Tsung because it's always cool to take the form of others (while still being your own different character) depending on the circumstance, and I like the way you can do combos with his flaming skulls/fireballs. And Scorpion for being one of the coolest ninjas in gaming. Hellfire powers, teleportation, immunity to death, having one of the best catch phrases ever with an equally nice projectile to go along with it (whether it be a harpoon/kunai or that living snake-like creature), what more can ya ask for?

True that, and I really like how
Spoiler:
he was one of the only two earthrealm warriors who didn't die and lived through it all, as opposed to in the original timeline

On a different note... For anyone whose gotten this far, have any tips for challenge 101 in the challenge tower? (as far as like predicting whether or not the enemy is going to jump at you) If not, then I guess this may be the first challenge that I'll have to skip and come back to later... Shit.

Ah, nevermind that last part of my previous post. I figured it out. The enemies without arms were the ones you had to do aerial attacks against. Became easy once I realized, but I kinda dread to think how much harder the challenges past 200 will be once I get there. mmm

I couldn't resist and gave in

I got the game for 360 yesterday (though through nefarious means 😮 ) and so far loving it, I got a friend coming over tonight to play the game with

Loved Noob's Fatality (best one yet) and I found him easy to play with, but Cage is still my favorite...

Gonna try out story mode tonight.

I still getting the game for PS3 though (once my copy arrives)

Yep.

Also, I just completed Story Mode. Shao Kahn was more tougher than usual but mainly because freaking Raiden kept doing things I didn't want him to do (that stupid Electrocution grab that always left me wide open).

Yeah, I had the button combinations for his moves mixed up a lot too at first..

Btw, challenge #150 in the tower is suuuper fun, owning everyone as Goro with his spin punch and what not. 😂

Gah, I hate challenge #210. If Kintaro and Kahn didn't switch back and forth between each other so often and quickly, it would be more bearable with Liu and Kung Lao. Me being tired and not in my best playing mood may have contributed too though, as I've been doing the challenge tower for a rather long time now... yawn

My favorite has always been Scorpion even from the first.

And probably my favorite character move wise and gameplay wise is Raiden. I just love his powers.

THE PSN IS DOWN!!! I CANT PLAY ONLINE!! ffuuu
