The Walking Dead

What I liked about the attempt on Negan's life was that it actually, really bothered him. I hate when villians accept their fate. It needs to hurt, not just physically, but psychologically.

I hope Rick gets his chance to go, "This must really suck for you."

Also, was glad to see this:

Negan is so utterly stupid for keeping Rick around. If he thinks he isn't going to attack him he's so utterly wrong. He's lucky he Governor isn't around because he'd beat Negan to death in front of everyone.

Everyone who tries to kill him he lets live. What a dummy.

Second lowest ratings for mid season finale. Way to bore people, Negan. It looks like I'm not alone with how shitty and lame he is.

Thats what the phags get for dragging on the season 6 cliff hanger for fking months. Everyone tuned in to see who dies and then jumped ship

Although Negan has been fking awesome. Dudes been winning awards for a reason. It's not his fault the writers didn't advance the plot at all until the finale.

So now it's the writers fault yet you praise him in the same post per the writers. He just is lame and repetitive. He can drink his lemonade and say corny jokes the ratings will suffer. The other groups are more interesting than the saviors. What utter disappointments they have been.

Maybe this has been discussed but who was that dude spying on Alexandria at the end of the episode? The dude who owned the boat they just robbed?

Unknown...

Not from the comics.

My guess is that this person has something to do with the boat Rick/Aaron pillaged(also not from the comics), hence the note: "Congrats for winning, but you still lose!!!!" Granted we saw a body in that boat, but that doesn't mean there was really just one person. /shrug

I've also seen some theories online ranging from it being Dwight, to it being a member of The Whisperers(an antagonist group we'll see after the Negan plot has wrapped-up), scouting the community -- I find the latter a bit less likely.

It's worth noting that in the episode of 'Talking Dead' following the mid-season finale, Robert Kirkman stated, in a nutshell, that the second half of the season would concern itself with this potential threat, and not a lot after that. So...

Negan likes to gloat. Rick is his favorite gloatee.

I keep thinking the one Negan really has to worry about is Carol. I think she's the most cunning and dangerous of them all, especially given he doesn't even know she exists.

He was worried about Rick because of the glare in the first ep and he keeps seeing it and does nothing about it. Not killing people who have tried to assassinate you is stupid.

On a side note (because I generally try to ignore everything you say, yet your constant pic & avatar changes trick me on occasion and I end up reading one of your posts by accident), why do you still watch the show if you hate characters from it so much? Like, you hate Negan, fair enough, yet you cannot stop talking about him. Actually, you know what? Don't bother answering, I'll just ignore it anyway.
On a side, side note, the mysterious boot on the edge of the lake reminded me of when a certain person returned from the fishing expedition after the events of All Out War, (dunno how to do spoiler tags so I've left their name out) the panel in the comics is virtually identical to the shot used in the show, there's even a boat in the shot. I know that person was in the episode so it's most likely not them but I don't know if that could be a nod to that in some way.

The person watching Alexandria in the show is white, so he/she definitely isn't Michonne. Nice thinking out of the box, though. 👆

And you all thought Negan and his Horde of Survivors was bad. Look out Everybody! Crazy Galoshes Swamp Guy is COMING!

DOOM DOOM DOOM!!!!!!!!

That's the one. Was debating with a friend about how I think the show could end/get cancelled after the events of All Out War. Would be a pretty good place to leave it IMO. So I was flicking through the comics past that point to see what we'd miss out on and it caught my eye.

It would be a great place to stop... But I have a feeling greed will take over, and they'll push it longer than they should. 👆

Yeah, but that way we end up with Negan only being the endgame boss instead of the more grey, interesting character he's become now in the comics. That on top of how they've been portraying him right now in the show would make him much much less than he could be with JDM's phenomenal performance.

Also I would love if they

Spoiler:
use the post-war time skip as a soft reboot and focus the story on Magna, Carl and Dwight

Just caught up. Ricks decided they have to fight back. Predictable for that to happen at the end of the mid-season finale, but still about time. It was getting slow with Rick acting like a defeatist.

Anyway, once Negan finds out Daryl has escaped, won't he just move home, given Daryl knows where his home base is? Which keep me of defeats the purpose of Jesus learning where his main hangout is.

Why would Negan need to move? Far as I can tell neither Alexandria or the Hilltop has any weapons cause the pussy'ied them up when Negan made them wet themselves 5 minutes after they meet him. The Kingdom appears to have some stuff but Negan has the #'s on his side. Sides its RICK being in charge. That means that He will probably get about 95% of HIS people killed in the battle.

Yeah I am sure Negan aint worried much.
