The Nexu's Grin still takes a couple lasers scraping across its shields before Xeth brings it around to smash through one and Ti blasts down the other, bringing the shields down to 42. And with that, the Grin is clear!

R3 reports no more blips on the radar of that variety.

Initiative is... theirs.

Reinforcements march in (including more battle droids) but they do not get to participate in the mass firing in your direction.

All three of the soldiers that fire on you are Reflected with ease! Navir is again missed by the soldiers with their blasters, while Barker is harried some. The Wookiee manages to avoid being set aflame again, and Navir's cover takes another rocket to it. The bunker is too sturdy to budge him.

Having reflected into the soldiers near you, you dive after the newly arrived droids, sword burning bright. Ten successes sees them taken down, as well as ten points of protection afford you.

Barker tries to take another whack at the flamer droid but he is rolling very poorly.

Navir plugs a pair of soldiers to the east, finishing off a wounded soldier and taking another with him.

Vera-Kin is going to swap Balanced Guard for Orthodox Guard and finish off the soldier by Barker to keep him clear on finishing the flamer droid.

"Happy to hear that, R3," Xeth says.

Xeth is going to put the ship back on course for his rendezvous with Vera-Kin, hoping that their delay hasn't doomed their little green friend.

Initiative is put in your hands.

Vera-Kin does not pause event for a moment, slashing a soldier open across the stomach.

Barker rolls just well enough to subdue the flamer droid, snapping something important with a powerful flailing blow. He manages to stay clear of the ensuing explosion as the thing self-destructs.

Navir makes a tap on Carnival to the East. He manages to pick off the battle droids that were his first targets, but blows through his last two on a single soldier, wounding him with rapid fire and then finishing him off with a precise blast.

Nine shooters, three attacks each. Vera-Kin loses only one protection point. Barker is taken to the brink when a droid hits him in the shoulder with a bolt.

Navir finally takes a light scratch from the rocket droid as something gives from a shell impact.

Vera-Kin is going to yell for her Wookiee companion to try taking cover.

If they get initiative, Vera-Kin is going to attack the reinforcements that show up.

If we do, Vera-Kin is going to move East and stick her lightsaber into the Rocket Droid.

Swap CL for BL, use for Defense.

How long until Xeth reaches Vera and company? I can't imagine she'll be staying up much longer with all those shooters.

Xeth, you are going as fast as you can in an atmosphere. You have had a great deal of delay in first locating Vera and then tangling with the intercepting vultures.

Barker ignores you and comes running alongside you. He pledged never to leave your side in a time of crisis and he is doing just that.

You plunge your lightsaber into the Rocket Droid's side! 13 damage is not enough to finish him. Then Barker tears its arm off and smashes it to the ground with the detached limb.

Navir lends you covering fire this turn.

Barker makes a defensive tap this turn. A reflex attack from Street Fighting sees him maul a soldier (who missed). Vera-Kin loses two points of Cleave (but takes no hits) and is missed by a droid thanks to Navir.

Reinforcements arrive...

Reflection for Charge, can Vera-Kin attack a soldier and move into cover? If not she will just move to attack one with her lightsaber.

4-2, initiative is still yours. A flurry of fists from Barker and a neat slash from you dispatches two soldiers.

Navir taps Covering Fire to allow himself a shot on Rocket B. Four successes is 7 damage as he puts a bolt in its shoulder, then he sends a spray of lasers toward the other soldiers to keep you safe.

A bunch of 5s are rolled at Vera, but only a single 6, which she absorbs with Cleave. She then springs clear when a flamer droid comes her way and spews flame about.

Barker takes 4 damage as a couple shots still come at him.

Nothing touches Navir, but a rocket finally brings his cover crumbling down at the pillbox doorway! A large segment of the reinforced wall gives out at last and he has to tumble forward to avoid being crushed.

Refresh Orthodox Guard ancd Cleave, swap in Orthodox Guard for Balanced Guard, Vera is going to attack the Flamer with her lightsaber then dance away from it before he can ignite her, moving North.

The dice really like you, apparently. Initiative is yours again! It is a simple think for Vera-Kin to flip away from the Flamer Droid, slashing off something important for 13 damage.

Barker follows you to the North and clobbers a battle droid, barging into it with his shoulder and throwing it down.

Navir charges out into the center of the yard, shooting at soldiers as he does. Two kills!

Barker taps Dodge & Weave this turn to stay clear, while a few awful shots at you are absorbed by your Cleave. The Flamer Droid pursues you and rolls all 4s. It is sputtering and sparking as it moves and just misses all together.

Navir takes some light damage and ducks under another rocket from a Rocket Droid. More of them are turning up, along with more soldiers.

Can Xeth see anything? The scanners have not been tremendously helpful. He is actually surprised that the droids that they have encountered have been doing okay with all the atmosphere weirdness.

Swap Block for Charge, spend a point on Twirl, tap Orthodox Guard. Vera-Kin flips away from the flamer droid again, leading him on a chase while jumping into the midst of the soldiers. She starts stabbing and slashing left and right, bringing low many in a blur of movement.

Vera- I am showing that you have Block and Charge in. I'll let you amend that swap before we press on.

Xeth- you are seeing smoke in the near distance, and some flashes of light. Hard to concentrate on when flying your ship.

Oops. Let's make that Cleave in, Block out then. Same action!

There we go!

Your defensive tap means the Flamer Droid misses instead of lightly singing you. It also means that the torrent of laser fire from the soldiers misses you, and a flurry from a super droid only scratches you for 3 damage.

Barker is not so lucky; he wears himself out trying to avoid the gunfire and it taken down by a laser through the thigh and another to the chest.

Navir, out in the open, takes some hits. A rocket explodes particularly close to him, throwing him on the ground as he stumbles into some cover.

And then a whirling green death sets upon the soldiers! Your pool is halved to 6 dice by your Twirl expenditure, but every die turns up a success with the Orthodox tap. With Cleave in, that's five kills!

Navir then taps off Carnival of Carnage at the soldiers to the south, for four kills of his own.

Vera-Kin- you heard a loud constant noise above the din of blasterfire, and it is getting louder.

Xeth and Ti- you are coming up fast on the pillbox that Wazo Kell's men told you about! Explosions and lasers are plentiful on the cliffs behind it, and you think you see a blur of green in their midst...

Can Xeth strafe the soldiers attacking Vera-Kin and reduce the firepower coming her way? Once he's removed some of the opposition it will be safer for him to land.

And I want to do that without blowing up Vera accidentally...
