Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Different people, different opinions Peach. You can't go and say that everyone buys it for the Single player or even 99% because they don't. I said that popularity is higher in single player then multiplayer, but people, still, buy it, for, the, multiplayer.

No one buys an IP's first attempt at multiplayer for the multiplayer alone, because it's nothing but a gamble.

A minority deserves to be recognized. Even if it's less then 40% or even 30% but to say 1% buy it for multi is a ridiculous assumption.

Most buy it for Single Player.
Some buy it for Multiplayer.
Some buy it for Both. <<< I fall into this category, I'm 50/50 on both side.

And btw, at my Gamestop the guy I talked to there (whom usually give me good feedback on games) told me that the Multiplayer is definitely a good part of the game. It's all opinion based.

Phoenix, do you have a point, or are you simply arguing to argue?

If you are arguing for no reason, kindly desist. Thank you.

Oh sorry >.> I wasn't really arguing without a reason, but I guess it's kind of pointless. Peach and I have two different opinions and it doesn't look like either of us are willing to change them so, I'll back off =\

^-^; sorry if I got a bit too out of control there.

Rented this game last night.

Just playing SP, it's fun but more of the same. Not really a bad thing but I hope they do something different for the third.

Ubisoft Montreal, sorry. And specifically this sort of competitive play. DA and CT's Mercs vs. Spies was developed by Ubisoft Shanghai, and Conviction was focused on small cooperative play. This is the first time that Ubi Montreal has had to develop online multiplayer on this scale, and it shows.

Right, right, but don't people move about internaly in companies like Ubisoft? So if people from Ubi Shanghai have multiplayer experience, wouldn't they spend some time with Montreal etc?

Probably.

Ubi Montreal is already huge! Nearly 2000 employees. Ubi Singapore started in '08 with about two dozen people, with plans to hire 300 over 5 years. With comparitive sizes, the cost of shifting people from studio to studio, and the fact the studio has their own games to develop, it's pretty unlikely anyone from Ubi Singapore had more than an advisory role early in development.

I have a few curiosities as to Assassin's Creed.

1. I wonder what it would be like if you got to use the Kinect in Brotherhood. Operate as if you truly are Ezio. Slowly, the Bleeding Effect begins to effect you.. surely but surely, you become an Assassin yourself.

XD That would be awesome! Though it will definitely lower the gameplay. Lol it's only good in theory.

2. The next AC. Supposedly AC 3, I am still confused about the whole Brotherhood isn't AC 3 thing. It continues the storyline, but then I think about AC Bloodlines (I think that was the PSP version).

You don't need to ship people. Employees from Asia can easily contribute to a game without the need to ship people. But your right, the other guys were probably advisers if that was the case.

I will not say anything on the matter of Kinect.

Brotherhood is... sorta AC2.5. It's like they made a game out of what they cut from AC2 and then added multiplayer, and that's the game.

I assume that AC1-2-3 tells the main story, and that the non-numbered ones aren't strictly necessary. That said, Bloodlines is important to Altair as a character, but not Desmond. I'm guessing that the next game for the 3DS will be similar, important to Ezio, but not so much for Desmond.

Well Brotherhood isn't numbered but it has the story where Desmond locates the Apple and I would think thats at least slightly important. lol.

I know, that's what makes it confusing. Though if you consider it the second half of AC2 then that's happening in a numbered game? I dunno.

It pretty much just is a continuation of AC2 and keeps up with the same ancestor. Important Desmond stuff happens, but it's still part of AC2, pretty much.

So the rule of thumb seem to be that a number, means a change of Ancestor (or possibly in the final one, only Desmond). so even though Brotherhood is very central to the over-all plot, it did not change ancestor and couldn't be AC3.

Yup, basically.

Makes moderate sense, I suppose.

So what are you guys hoping for for AC3?

Myself, I'm a fan of the theory it'll be in Revolutionary France. New time period, new ancestor, new beautiful cities in Paris and the surrounding countryside, and the political atmosphere is perfect for an Assassin/Templar war.

I'm thinking it'll be in the future with space ships.

Both can happen. Who knows.

Maybe even the 1900's.

Nah, present day with Desmond ftw.

they did say they could to 30 games of this if they can. Desmond will be the last assassin you should play as. so there has to be one more assassin you have to play before Desmond Miles.
