While this is Marvel's Shiva of the Daevas/Hindu Pantheon.

Actually I was thinking FFVII but this will do also 😉

The issue was alright. I hope this event becomes the stepping stone for Skyfather's -at least Odin- regaining their status.

Hercules being amped to Skyfather levels might turn out well after all.

Spoiler:
I didn't expect for him to simply summon Eternity and then Galactus.

I wonder how the Zeus/Galactus battle will turn out.

I agree with you about Hercules being Skyfather level.I hope Odin also appears in Chaos War.

Spoiler:
I didn't expect Chaos King Amatsu-mikaboshi to take off his garments and kill Zeus at the same time. And Eternity to chicken out in fighting Mikaboshi was actually funny.Especially when he said I don't want to fight the Chaos King because I'll be hitting myself. 🤣

Spoiler:
so mika is a dark aspect of eterinty? i thought death or oblivion represented that

Depending on who you ask, Vishnu and Brahma grovel at Shiva's feet.

Well if you ask a Shaivist...sure.

and if you ask Pak?...😛

AKA retcon.

well the way the writers were describing him in a interview they said from the start of mikaboshi creation in marvel they had planned for an event like this, and in a recent ohotmu he still is the japenese god of void it just says he is an actual abstract

and i already speaked on the chronus thing, cronus was merged with eternity

lets just say not all what the gods think are true but some of the origins (mikaboshi) are true

i still dont see it as a retcon and neither does the poeple at the marvel boards

That's just selectively picking parts of the mythology to support preferred characters. You can't say that Mika is more than the japanese god of evil and the void if you simultaneously don't acknowledge izanagi and izanami as creators of the earth and all its inhabitents (mutants, humans, etc.). Because mika and izanagi and izanami all come from the same creation myth (in marvel) localized to the japanese pantheon. Do you believe that izanagi and izanami were responsible for creating and populating earth? Do you believe that izanami and izanagi were responsible for creating mutants, and not the celestials? If so, then you should believe that Mikaboshi is the void before creation.

HOWEVER, if you do NOT believe that Izanagi and Izanami created mutants, the earth, and all it's populations, BUT you do believe that Mikaboshi is the void before creation, well my friend you have subscribed to the retcon that pak and van lente applied specifically for Mikaboshi ONLY, out of the entire japanese pantheon. Because if you always believed that Mikaboshi was the void before creation as it applies to the MU as a whole, why don't you believe that all the other Japanese gods take up their roles and apply that to the MU as a whole too? Why aren't you saying that the Phoenix Force is simply part of Izanagi and Izanami..since they existed before time and used their powers to create life?

Retcon, that's why.

I wonder too. Galactus was hungry when he eye blasted zeus.

Thats lame, at least inter-tween their origin in one being. Small aspect of each other are shared...

odin should be somewhere all the dead are back

Kinda seem like thor was a little shook when he met eternity, seems like he forget he met eternity before when zeus summoned him once

Pak probably knows about Hindu cosmology from what he read on the place-mat of a Curry restaurant. If even that much.

Yeah, didn't Thor also meet with Eternity in the last issue of Avengers Infinity?

i think so

Maybe meeting Eternity is one of those things that never loses its impact no matter how many times it happens. I mean you'd hope that the personification of time itself wouldn't become old news the second time you meet him...

yes, and guy said he will be returning in chaos war

I didn't think Thor was suprised for meeting Eternity for the first time, but more like "Herc summoned Eternity? Wtf?"
