perhaps, I'd have to read it again.
Spoiler:
Glory had him beat and beat pretty badly...it's at that point that Thor's "spark" (as if he were a Transformer) took effect and he managed to come back. Glory did direct a blast that was its full power at thor though, which thor re-directed.But again...before he re-directed the blast, Glory had beat him quite easily. It was the "spark" plot device/explanation/deus ex machina that allowed Thor to gather himself, somehow made Glory worry enough to fire a huge concentrated blast, which he then redirected.
The effort also cost thor dearly as he fell out of orbit, back to earth, and reverted to human form, seemingly not remembering anything at all. So it doesn't seem like some feat he can perform routinely.

Yeah I, liked the last issue. Not bad at all.
Spoiler:
lovely book. As for a routinely performed feat it depends on what the spark is. If it’s Thor’s effort to give everything he has in a last attempt to save everything dear to him it seems logical to be duplicated everytime Thor goes in an all out mode. However IMO it will be explained to be some outside influence power up (maybe the belief of the mortals in him or something) in Thor #2. Either way Thor had some great showing in this book regardless of the Spark

Thor's been doing this forever. He's not so proud that he won't let Hulk beat the shit out of him throughout the decades, but he always steps it up when there is a true threat around. 😄
Hulk is green. Thus he's Thor's kryptonite. Other than that he punks everyone else 🙄

I just read Chaos war: Thor #1Spoiler:
Can someone explain to me how Thor defeated Glory? I still don't get how he was able to absorb a full blast from a being made of 10,000 gods and re-direct it. Also what's this spark business? Seems like a crappy plot-device to allow Thor to win.
iirc thor once absorbed a blast that wold destroy half the universe through his hammer or somehting of that sort before
